theres some great films being listed here. Is there a presumption that the delicate little snowflake can only watch a sh*tty romcom?
romper stomper was suggested above, why not watch something like that ? at least you'll have something to talk about afterwards.

Some of my all time favourite films have been mentioned. I'd love to go see something a little different.

I had a housemate once who went to Happiness on a first date. Couldn't believe it when he told me me. Don't think that there was a second date.
Was going to post that as a hypothetical. Most turgid piece of misery I've ever sat through.

Ah now, a decent number walked out of that because it was total ****ing ****e, in fairness. Don't kid yourself thinking their little minds were being blown by how edgy it was.

I never came close to implying that. In fairness to walk-ees, it was the hair-pin scene that caused most of the walkouts!!

I actually liked it, but there are some deeply uncomfortable moments in it.

Yeah, I think I one described it as the best movie that I never want to see again. I've never seen so many walkouts from a theater. A good movie, but perhaps not a date movie.

Apparently on my parents' second date (40 years ago now), they went to see The Sound of Music, on it's original release.

My Mum told me she picked the firm, my Father absolutely hated it! He was not the type of man for that kind of movie. I guess she got to know him better with time....

My parents went to sound of music on first date :-)

I was going to say a Serbian film.

Very few films I'd be uncomfortable with but that's one and the remake
Of I spit on your grave. Also human centipede 2. And definitely antichrist. Havnt been able to watch williem Defoe in a film since.
