Just to play devils advocate, in the last two weeks I've made 3 orders, all sold by Amazon UK and free delivery to Ireland. One came via An Post and two via UPS *

    * UPS are actually pretty poor IME, took them 3 days to deliver my last package to Dublin 9, as in the package was in the drivers van for 3 days!!! DPD and fastway are vastly superior IME.

Have to agree about UPS, DPD and Fastway are usually excellent and An Post are always good. TNT are just Dynamite:D

I'm just guessing at the moment but is it possible Amazon are using Asendia to avoid VAT payment even though I was charged VAT in my order and are pocketing the Vat amount
The Parcel shipped using Asendia had a Customs CN 22 Label and was marked as follows
DVD Item Value (In GBP) 10,14
    Freight and insurance 1,52
    Total 11,66

No Amazon Invoice inside parcel that shows description of goods and that VAT was Paid
Yet I did pay VAT on my order

Yet my amazon order on-line and dispatch email has the following
    Item Subtotal: £11.66
    Postage & Packing: £1.75
    Free Shipping: -£2.15
    Total before VAT: £11.66
    VAT: £2.68
    Total: £14.34
    Paid by Visa: £14.34

Is amazon UK using asendia for goods that are valued under €22.00 or £15.00 GBP and this parcel then goes from UK to Switzerland and then to Rep of Ireland and then Asendia then use a customs CN 22 Label to make out the goods value is only £11.66 and goods are from a non EU country

If this is what Amazon UK are at this opens up a can of worms regarding VAT collection

My order was for £61.49, and shipped in a A5 sized cardboard envelope

Did your Parcel have a Customs CN 22 Label on it
Was there a Amazon Purchase Invoice inside your parcel showing you paid Vat

This Carrier Asendia is shipping some parcels from UK seller Amazon EU S.a.r.L. to Switzerland and then your parcel is posted to Rep of Ireland from Switzerland

Amazon UK orders from Rep of Ireland customers when Amazon UK is the seller it is not meant to be making it appear the item you ordered is from a Non EU Country nor should you be seeing a Customs CN 22 on your parcel
You Paid VAT on your order the use of Customs CN 22 is only meant to be used when item was ordered from a non EU Country seller and Vat has not been applied

If You ordered a item from a UK and the seller is Amazon EU S.a.r.L.
UK is a country which is still a member state of the EU they have not yet applied to leave the EU and you paid Vat as part of your order and the item ordered is from a EU Country no need for customs CN 22 Label
Marketplace Seller may be different as they might be based in a Non EU country.

It's wrong for Amazon to make out your parcel been delivered was ordered from a Non EU Country ????? What has happened to VAT payment you was charged when you paid for your order has this been passed onto revenue as a Vat payment

I just had another Parcel from Amazon UK shipped today
It was Free Shipping and they have use Carrier Asendia again :mad::mad:
Again it's a release with a value below UK £15.00 GBP before VAT is added

If this does not arrive by estimated date amazon will end up having to re send it as extra cost to themselves

There was a CN22 label, but no paperwork inside

Girlfriend ordered two games from Amazon using the super saver delivery with Asendia as the carrier, now I usually use PM if using Amazon, but she forgot to use it, this was 3 weeks ago and no sign of the games, complained to Amazon as this happened well over a year ago with Asendia as well, ended up with two months free prime and a gift voucher, they replaced both game and I used prime and had them the next day.

Waiting on a game sent on 9/9/2016. No sign. I thought Amazon were ditching Ascendia?

What's the longest someone has waited for something to arrive from Amazon that was shipped by Ascendia?

After I had bad experience with them 2 years or so 10 working days - 2 weeks before playing the game and demanding a refund from Amazon. I've had them change shipping and delivery dates on the sly without updating me in an email and stuff arrive 6 weeks after a refund because of asendia. Has to be costing amazon given the posts here. Not sure what its like now as I haven't shopped on Amazon since but at the time there was zero fight in them for a refund

You are near 2 week waiting now tell them it was intended as a gift and it exceed the delivery date and you'll get a refund and a 1% chance of the game arriving at all.

A few months back I got one weeks late and returned it, cancelled another en route (which never arrived) and amazon had no issue with refunds.
Had one on pre-order for next month (couldn't find it elsewhere). Saw another site selling it €10-€12 dearer yesterday and cancelled the Amazon order.

My complaints to amazon about asendia might have had asendia speed up delivery times or the speed of delivery time been quicker is just luck on last 2 orders but others have posted recently they also having parcels arrive in 3-5 days
The last 2 orders where they used asendia was delivered one in 5 days and one in 3 days

They are still using asendia if you pick super safer free delivery with my orders they are especially if the price is below £15.00
If I pay for standard shipping amazon are using iParcel or An Post

I preferred when they used An Post for all parcels and did for most of my previous orders be it free shipping or I used standard shipping until recently they changed carrier with my orders

They are using iparcel more now with standard shipping than An Post

As long as delivery time is 3 to 5 days I don't mind which carrier is used but I would of course prefer if it was An Post

    On a separate issue
I still though find it strange the parcels Amazon UK parcels have Cn 22 Customs labels this also applies with Amazon France/Germany orders if the Carrier is Asendia or iParcel
    UK/France/Germany are EU Countries
Asendia I understand as these get shipped from Switzerland so CN 22 Label is used

What's more strange is especially with iParcel and orders from /France and Germany is they are shipped from France/Germany to UK and then Ireland so why Iparcel using CN Customs Labels for these if they not been shipped from a Non EU Country tracking does never say at any stage they entered a Non EU Country
Even Amazon UK orders sent from UK to Ireland with Iparcel have Cn 22 label and these are shipped from the UK not a non EU country
