    Um, does it?

Looks the exact same as the 6, outdated specs, outdated screen resolution (seriously, 720p in 2016 is shocking), and will be triple the price of phones with better specs than it.

What's very very good about it? Apart from "omg look how slim and pretty it is ... now where's that massive cover I bought for it?"

I think one thing is it might be waterproof.
My 6 took a bath in a pool of Kronenberg 1664 in France during the summer.

    How i wish the 6 was waterproof:pac:

Ordering the Oneplus 3 today. Would I be better to wait until it's available in Ireland or go with the UK? Just wondering which will be the fastest delivery option.

Took about 1 week from ordering on the UK site, to delivery for me.

Nothing on my finger and still does not work. I will do a factory reset tonight.

I think I have figured out what was wrong with the finger print scanner. I have always used this app called Screen off:

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.katecca.screenofflock

It has worked fine on any other phone that I have used. As usual I installed on this one. It's very handy to tap on the icon on the screen to put the phone to sleep instead of using physical button.

After the factory reset I did not install this app at first. Noticed that the finger print reader was working way better. Then I installed this app and every time I used it to put the phone to sleep, I was getting prompted for pin.

My guess it before the factory reset whenever I was using the physical button for sleep the reader worked but when the screen off app is used I got prompted for pin. Which was more often than not the case.

That app hasn't been updated since January 2014 :/

If you don't want to use the power button to turn off the screen, why not use one of the capacitive buttons? In the Buttons settings menu you can assign the double tap or long press action on any of the physical buttons to turn off your screen.

It was more of a habit than anything else. When holding the phone in one hand it's easier to tap the screen by thumb if you place the icon correctly. I guess that needs to change.

I will try to play around with the button settings.

I've set mine that if I double tap the fingerprint/home button it will shut the screen off, might be worth looking at that because it's already in the settings

Just in regards to having to launch a warranty claim for a UK bought device, from a UK address, what would happen had you moved somewhere else in Europe? I don't they cant get away with that under EU law.

Surely they would at least have to let you post to a UK address.

Anyone seeing issues where data is dropping? I suspect it's the three network. It was flaky on my old phone but the one plus drops it and I have to search for a network.

I turned on data roaming and its working fine now. Strange I have to have this setting on even though im not leaving the country.

Well after deciding between the iPhone 7 and the oneplus 3 and I am going to give the oneplus a go.
Just ordered there on the uk site using address pal.

Anyone know why my Number 26 credit card was denied?
Had to go with paypal which was around €12 extra!

Funny that, I have a three sim in there and as second sim and when I used it for data I never turned the roaming on even tho it prompted all the time but still worked as it was coverage probs I think, don't understand why it has to be on tbh

Three are essentially two completely separate networks still, with the old o2 network not merged at all. So maybe roaming needs to be on in order for the phone to properly use the two.

I have my phone rooted with a custom ROM. I'm thinking about selling it on, has anyone come across a good guide to return it to stock? I want to have the stock recovery on it as opposed to leaving it with the custom one.

What are people's thoughts on the camera? In good light it does a decent job but in low light or indoors mine seems to be nothing but fuzzy 'noise'(Sorry, my camera lingo isn't what it should be!)

I'm wondering if my sensor is a bit of a dud or if the camera is just a bit poor.

I didn't use mine enough to answer but maybe try HDR?

Anyone getting redirected after clicking links from Twitter/Facebook?

E.g. Clicking a link from Nike's Twitter (or any legit sites twitter/FB) and then go to load the legitimate link for a few seconds, then get redirected to a page saying
    Congratulations Android User!

Your "Phone brand & Model" has been randomly selected as one of the first customers for a chance to get the iPhone 6S

Press OK to participate and get exclusive rewards

I know this happened before for Three/Vodafone/Meteor/Eir customers on android and Apple devices. It was then sorted and the old thread on VFs forum was deleted.

I'll be ordering one on Monday when they start distributing again. I'm sure it's been mentioned but roughly how long does delivery take when ordering from the Irish site?

Almost guaranteed to have it within a week (even if it does take this ridiculous road trip around Europe)

Just remember that sales are suspended until 10:59pm Irish time on the 12th.

Also, what's the story with the 15 day returns policy? Is it 15 days from the date of purchase or the date ye actually receive the phone?

The reason I ask is the new Nexus devices are due to be announced on the 4th of next month which would just be over the 15 day window providing it applies from date of receiving the device and it takes a week to come here.

Phone is back available to order now. Seems the whole 10:59pm Irish time and 11:59pm CET thing was just a farce.

Estimated delivery date is 10 October though! So buckle up!
