Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    On Sunday myself and my wife crossed from Howth Harbour to Dun Laoghaire to have some lunch with her family. I motored back on my own as it got a little choppier in the afternoon.

    Despite being busy working on the "new" boat and refurbing an old punt in between a very busy work schedule, today was too good a day to do anything but take to the water.

    High tide was around 4.00.pm with enough water for 4 hours on either side to get out of the harbour. Clear blue skies, a gentle swell and several other boats out on the bay. We even caught a few mackerel which went straight onto the pan this evening. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm

    I'm blessed to live in such a wonderful environment and only 5 minutes from the pier.

    Great day out in Lock key today with the IWAI Carrick cares day group they do fantastic work introducing disabled people of all ages to the waterways with trips on the wheelyboat and cruisers,fishing lessons,model boat racing,music, games, BBQ and so much more.
    I think Kyle wants me to get a wheelyboat as a tender :)

    Very busy day at DL harbour yesterday!

    Hard to believe that was only 24 hours after the previous day, which was one of the most miserable I've ever spent out on Dublin Bay!!
