Payet had a long, exhausting and miles above expectations season last year....

That was largely rhetorical but ta for the considered response all the same. :D

I was going to bring in Sanchez but after hearing what Arsene said after the game that he would like to see Ozil score more goals I might go with him.

Absolutely ****ed if Aguero/Gray/Lamela get bans. Will definitely force my hand with a wildcard. Have a few yellow injuries as well to deal with.

    What he say?

Have Tadic, Payet & Firminho in my midfield. Will keep Firminho but should who should I get rid of? Price drop for one or both? Hazard & Redmond other mids

Said he was glad he scored and he needs to add more goals to his game.

What are people's thoughts on Mane as a fantasy asset?
Very frustrating to watch at times, but looks so explosive.
Only for Vorm being quick off his line I think he could have bagged a few goals at the weekend.

He's bound to get some big scores soon right?
Seems to be between him, Sterling and Barkley/Bolasie for my 4th Mid spot at the moment.

He has always been inconsistent, but to be fair has started well at Liverpool. Historically he has been very fustrating, explosive, but issues with consistency and discipline.

That said, he's been in a few drafts of mine, and may make it back in under a wildcard. I would take him over Sterling and Barkley/Bolasie as he is a much better finisher than the other two.

City's midfielders are just too expensive for players that could be benched one week and play 70 minutes the next.

I've had Sterling in some of my drafts but I'm starting to lean towards a West Ham or Everton midfielder

Bolasie or Ayew possibly, but then both of their clubs have 4 or 5 other midfielders in contention to play

Need to keep a close eye on prices, can just about squeeze in:

    Aguero > Benteke
    Feghouli > Sanchez

I for one welcome our new template overlords :)

I assume this will be the in vogue activity for the GW

    Aguero -> Benteke
    Cheap mid -> Sanchez

Townsend in my case cos I sure as sh!t ain't having 3 Palace players and two attackers.

I wish I hadn't activated my WC to be honest
I'd then just do that and keep WC to get him back in
Of course last season punished those who planned more than a week ahead so who knows maybe Ibra will be suspended around that time then to allow a smooth changeover and sure it's nearly time for the second WC then
    :D

I'm more likely eyeing up Aguero to Vardy to give myself another captaincy choice GW5 at home to Burnley.

I already have Vardy myself. Kind of glad I'll get another few weeks out of him before moving him on, especially now he's up and running.

Sold Sanchez and Vardy last week. It would be too ironic to transfer them back in for net loss of, what, 24 points (including a hit) and three FT's :pac:

I think I'll stick to my instinct that Özil would be better to have than Alexis. Alexis has been poor and maybe that was the confidence boost he needed. But I still wouldn't be too optimistic that he's back and he may not be 100% travelling to South America I assume again for the break.

So that leaves Costa, Benteke and Vardy the likely Aguero replacement. Have no idea who yet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,222 ✭✭✭Calvin

Vardy for me. Benteke didn't have a pre-season and I'm betting it'll take a while for Benteke to get back up and running again.

Anyone looking at Kane?, he started poorly last year aswel with a 700 min drought if I remember correctly and we all know how that ended.

Yes purely as an aguero placeholder
    Nice fixtures but no form
But I got him in this time last year too .........he has not scored a prem goal in August I believe !
    Will watch him for England

Big Rom for me i think, and then Sanchez(C) for one of my mids, I'm not sure which one yet

Palace have signed Remy on loan..wonder if they'll play two up front or rotate with Benteke.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,553 ✭✭✭✭Dempsey

    Have

    Aguero
    Gray
    Lamela
    Mahrez
    Firmino
    Jakupovic

All high risk at the moment

I think its time to wildcard but dunno who to get

iirc, Wickham played up front alone of the games of theirs I saw last season, so definitely risk of rotation, but I'd say Tekkers is first choice.

He's never scored in August in his career

Everybody set the reminder for start of next season along with Barkley captain GW1

Beware though. Wasn't it Sanchez who had some insane stats of always scoring after international breaks?

Was thinking of getting Sissoko in but he'd probably end up in someone else's team instead.
