Both capable of double digit scores but equally capable of turning into a Big Useless Belgian B***ard!

I'm leaning towards Benteke as he's cheaper and DGWs 33 and 34 of last season are still too fresh in my mind to touch Lukaku!

    Do I pass? :)

Fckin discuss ya lazy baştard!! :D:D

if Gray is banned I will have both I think
    I dont want negredo
Costa is in good form but could/should have been sent off twice in 3 games before scoring
    kane - no form
benteke is a personal favourite of mine so I'm just looking for an excuse to get him in even though I should wait. nice fixtures, a team that suits him and hopefully pens

Lukaku I swore never to go back but again good fixtures and a nice confidence boost tonight . And it would only be till after comes back..........I've no everton mid . if I had or go for Barkley I wouldnt double up

And then there is bony........probably a week too early for him though

if it's just one I'd probably go benteke . If it doesn't go well Bony will be a good option hopefully by then

Benteke cause price and pens + Lukaku has looked dire so far.

    Lukaku or Benteke?

    Discuss. :)

    lukaku
    Better team
    Better player
    Better fixtures
Better meltdown when it goes wrong

Benteke long term for me but Lukaku until Kun is back is a nice safety blanket.
I'd probably go with Benteke 'cos he has pens.
I find myself getting hung up on the idea of "coverage" - with Bolasie and Puncheon already in my squad I'm looking at Zaza! or a -4 and 2 new strikers with Ibra and Fr8 until Kun is back.

True. Cabaye now flagged with groin injury though.

He announced he'd be taking them over. Remains to be seen but looks like he is. Only for the pens there would be no debate between him and Lukaku.

Mind you, the meltdown from new Baines owners if Lukaku suddenly took Evertons next one would be pretty special. Maybe best owning both!! :)

I have Williams but am mulling over baines instead
Williams is decent value though at 5ml

If Baines keeps pens he'll probably score better. But Williams is a BP magnet especially with scores like 0-0 and 1-0

I'm actually amazed there is not more love for Baines. A definite in my WC team.

Good attacking stats. Good manager. Unreal fixtures. Back on pens.

People used to happily pay 6.5 or 7.0 for that.

at the moment it would be Williams and PVA or baines and kone !
I had kone and sold him but he is a BEAST in the attacking box. problem is he could score home or away and he may be on my bench!
3 home games in 4 now for them though
and PVA on corners and frees ! sure if Defoe was out he might even chance a pen LOL

Well i plan to have Baines and Kone soon enough (Baines this gw, then Kone GW6 provided he starts the next 2 games). PVA really on corners and frees? I missed that one! If that stays the same i'll probably get him myself!

yes he nearly set one up for kone from a corner and has also taken some frees
he is such an odd player. an absolute liability in his own half and then tapping in a goal in the other box where he should not be !
I'm finding it tricky to get a decent 4th mid now and all these attacking defenders are tempting me !
no idea how I'll get kun back either but sure who knows what will happen by then
Beat laid plans and all that

    Lukaku or Benteke?

    Discuss. :)

Lukaku and Benteke are both Belgian forwards that play in the league. They are big and strong and can score goals. Both are known to be inconsistent but have a good pedigree in the league when played.

Benteke plays for Palace. Has moved in a high profile transfer attracting interest from FPL managers. Palace are terrible. Benteke is new for Palace and probably not fit.

Lukaku plays for Everton. Is under the radar. Has got a few goals tonight. Plays for a better team and manager. Is more expensive than Benteke. But most importantly has Monday Night Football against Sunderland.

Lukaku has similar traits to that of Pelle. Scores well early in the season, somewhat under the radar. The more that pile on the creakier the bandwagon gets. So offload at the right time and you're laughing (I.e. when Kun is back). Both managed by Koeman too.

So I conclude that while a sensible manager would probably pick somebody else entirely it stands to reason that Romelu Lukaku is the right choice at the right time. That is why I would choose Lukaku over Benteke.

How do you want to play? Safe? Or punty?

    Ownership: Benteke: 3.7% ; Lukaku: 6.9%.
    Captaincy % from FFS: Benteke: 1.14% (50 votes) ; Lukaku: 4.24% (186 votes).

Lukaku performing will hurt you a bit more than Benteke performing. We also don't know how palace will line up upfront while it seems clearer at Everton.
Lukaku scored 2 away to Cyprus tonight. His confidence will be sky high.

So. Lukaku a tad safer. Benteke a tad puntier. Make your choice.

Well thought out and thorough. Questionable grammar and need to work on sentence structure. Starting sentences with verbs is ok for imperative and interrogative but don't make a habit of it. we worked on this last year.

Now I am thinking of getting Lukaku...

At least I know who to blame if it doesn't work.

Benteke is not on my list until whenever CP, and the man himself, get their act together.

I'm going with Benteke. It was only Cyprus!

(Also have Barkley but going Benteke cause I'm loading up on penalty takers)

I'm gonna get Lukaku in for Aguero for the 2 weeks.

My logic is that he always disappoints when we expect the world from him and right now nobody in here expects much from him.

I'm toying with the idea of getting Kane in on the same logic as a 2 week differential.
I'm eyeing up the Everton MF instead of Lukaku.

How about I complicate things further for you and throw Defoe in the mix? :D
3 Homes in the next 4. EVE PAL WBA = tasty fixtures.
No Borini either so little competition and likely to be on pens?
