We lose too many games like that in the hurling. Disappointing. Galway just wanted it more in the last few minutes.

Poor shooting and lots of silly attempted flicks our undoing in normal time i thought.

Poor shooting, dire full back line.

Very poor performance from Dublin in the second half of ET. A lot of cheap turnovers, and a terrible free at the beginning of the second half given away, which prove costly as we had too go for a goal too win the game, being 2 points down with time running out.

It's great that O'Gara had his red card rescinded, but he's not got enough game time this year to be anywhere near the team in my opinion. At his best, he's able to bulldoze through teams, holding off two players with one arm while securing the ball with the other, but that requires him to know where the line is, otherwise he just collects yellows.

Will look forward to seeing him at club level and in the league next year, this year just came too soon for him.

Looking forward to watching Mayo and Tipp today, if Tipp get some momentum going early, then it could turn out to be a cracker.

In fairness we don't know what his forms like. Mannion and O' Callaghan are reducing him to pointless cameos. He might be well up to having a big influence, we just don't know.

I suspect if Dublin ever have to go chasing a game he'll be thrown in a lot earlier though.

And there's rumours he's been practising his kickouts too ...

    Good stuff.

Eoghan O'Gara doesn't practice kickouts. Kick outs practice being Eoghan O'Gara.

Dammit....there has to be a Chuck Norris gag in there somewhere.

I'm delighted he's available. All these guys push him alright, but I love when he comes on. Apart from MDMA our squad is not blessed with lads who have that physical presence. McCarthy and ROC have it but it's great to have a robust forward, although it seems they are out of favour

Reminds me to get my junk into Dorset Street this week, 2 midweek games this week for the juveniles leaves me short on options

A good workout down in Carton House the weekend by all accounts - everyone tucked up early on Saturday and a morning analysing Kerry on the Sunday followed by an afternoon watching the runners up semi final ;)

Not a patch on the Merrion Hotels Art Tea. The Shelbourne can shag off.

    Strongly disagree.

I prefer the 'traditional' aspect of The Shelbourne. And i love the Horseshoe bar there. The pint is fairly solid!

This 'art deco' stuff can go and ask me you know whatsits!! :pac:

Subtle change this year .. have you any thoughts on the best place for afternoon tea?

Btw just looking at The Merrion how much would it set you back to nibble on treats that wouldn't fill the hole in one of my cavities?

Think its 40e pp - extra with champers.

Always (ALWAYS) gets me serious browny points with Mrs S - its a great gift. For anyone actually, a great treat.

LOL.. But fanciful fare for those of us without an arse in our trousers.. I'd stretch to any pizza any size - ten euros

Sorry BS, as with Dublin beating Kerry, we've kicked it up a notch this year, in the style stakes.

Docta, Art Tea for two in the Merrion, avec champers, is a mere £120. Coz what better way is there to kick off a Dubs champo Sunday afternoon, than a Louis le Broquey inspired, pomegranate & passionfruit mille feuille, sculpted to resemble the Cliffs of Moher? It beats a battered sausage in the Dorset St Macari, that's fo' sho !

Ah the lads outside of Dublin will be having a field day on this one.

"Sure that's what they do with the all the extra funding, afternoon tea and Champagne!".

 wow @ £120 - nothwithstanding your conversion to sterling as Parlance has pointed out !

Give me 3 battered sausages and a cod portion and I'll recreate the Poulnabrone Dolmen on a plate anyday

Sorry, I was on to my broker there, optioning futures in gold Celtic crosses bullion & he was talking in pounds sterling, so I had them on the brain.

So it'll be a full house this weekend, great news, matches are always better when it's jam-packed.

    https://twitter.com/DubMatchTracker/status/768467861941649408

Not really one for afternoon tea myself, but seeing as I live in London, and haven't a hope of getting home for pints anywhere in Dublin, what's the best pint in London then?*

I'd say the Auld Shillelagh in Stoke Newington myself, but interested to hear anyone elses thoughts.

*All just a desperate ploy to keep my mind off the match!
