Sports in which women could compete against men

Badminton is a serious endurance sport with emphasis on speed, strength and fitness. I speak from decades of experience. It is not an even playing field between the two sexes.

Almost the same with most forms of motor sport.

In golf you need strength and endurance also, so same comment there too and for table tennis.

Darts and snooker would be the only two in your list that would maybe be even between the sexes...but they are just generally male centric from a cultural point of view.

Equestrian events - men and women compete equally.

She would wipe the floor with me too but not against men trained in her division. Also not exactly a good image men fighting women really.

Can we not just accept men and women have different physical attributes and just compete on that basis separately?

In sport, the average male will outperform the average women in the same way elite male with outperform elite women.

To answer your question, there are elite women competing in all of the above but at the highest level giving away even 1% is massive and the tendency therefore is for women is to fall short versus male.

Plus the fact that men will focus and try harder when competing against a women.

Agreed. Anything where there is not a physical element. Even table tennis a man would surely hit the ball faster.

Men play darts and snooker more than women. If you go to a snooker hall or pub, it's men that are playing.

Hence, you'd expect the best male to easily beat the best female.

I don't know much about table tennis

Off the top of my head, they would be pretty equal in these sports:

Archery
Shooting
Equestrian
Sailing

There may be other sports, but physical advantage such as height and weight would probably go against them.

I'm not suggesting that women can't compete in principle and win sometimes.

I'm suggesting that the average male would beat the average female. And the elite male would beat the elite female.

It's not sexism, it's anatomy and skillset
