Has any reason been given why the IHC fixtures have been changed, Castlemartyr now playing Fr O'Neils. It smacks of making sure that the favourites make the final

Round 2A winners cannot meet in Round 4

Cork look like winning this absolute awful game of camogie.

Our superior fitness sees us through to another all ireland final. Wexford gave it their all but the better team won.

Second semi gone to et. Galway get a goal and a point in injury time. KK by far the better team I think.

Ya, for most of the game, but sat back and let Galway come on to them. Might be hard for them to come out again and go on the attack.
A very good game. Miles better than the last one

    KK win by 2.

Has the makings of a cracking final.

Can anyone explain how Cill Na Matra are playing Kanturk while Mitchelstown are playing either Bandon/Glanworth in the quarter final stage when both Cill Na Matra and Kanturk both won their championship games while Mitchelstown, Bandon and Glanworth have all lost one championship game?

Under the new championship format should both Cill an Matra and Kanturk be seeded and avoid each other?

After a tight first half its all Cork in the 2nd, 2-12 to 1-3 with 10 left. Cavan yet to score in the second half. Cork face the winners of Kerry v Monaghan which should be a great game.

Dublin v Mayo in the other semifinal

    Ft Cork 3-17 v 1-03 Cavan

With 20 to go there was still only 5 in it, 1-08 v 1-03, but Ciara scored a very nice goal to give us the breathing space. Fair few wides for Cork, we looked a bit rusty but the effort was always there and eventually Cavan were not able to keep us at bay. No other team can push up on opposing kickouts like Cork. This was key to the second half dominance, in particular the last 20 mins where we scored the vast majority of our scores.
Defence was as tigersh as ever, while

Our forwards workrate the second half paved the way for a comfortable victory.

It wasn't as easy as the final scoreline would suggest but the work rate of this team, coupled with no little skill clearly showed the difference between the two teams

    Onwards and upwards.

Always nice to see Kerry get a bit of a hammering. Monaghan, as always, will put it up to us in the semi.

yeah, Monaghan looked to be in disarray at the start of the year, players leaving the panel but they are obviously coming good at the right time of the year.

Played against a savage wind in the first half, made a huge difference in the second half. Very pleased with that run out after a five week lay off. Coppinger and a few others now down in Nenagh for the All Ireland Intermediate camogie semi final v Laois 0-9 to 1-3 up at half time

Cork fans are sheep? Is it a trick question? As an effort on homour, it's fairly basement level, but whatever you're into yourself.

Sean Og and Tom Kenny announced as managers for the UCC fresher hurlers this year. Looks like the College are doing what the county board should be doing and bringing ex cork hurlers in to mould the upcoming hurlers. The likes of waterford and KK will of course enjoy this luxury as well with UCC

I see CIT are playing Douglas tomorrow in the championship. What kind of team can or will CIT have out? Does it have to be made up of current students or can past students play as well?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 649 ✭✭✭DuffleBag

Past students cant play anymore. They got rid of that rule a number of years ago that you could play for one year after you left. Only students who would've been in the college year 2015/2016. So if for instance, they got to the final and it overlapped with the new college student year for 2016/17 they couldnt play any new recruits.

Love watching cora Courtney play for Monaghan, such a great 2 footed player

    15 gone 2-02 v 1-01

    Playing very well.

    Ht Cork 2-04 v 1-02

Very strong wind for Cork but only 5 points in it.

I don't think the wind suited our style of play. Playing against it with our strong running might suit us better. Some of our long ball passes were quite poor. Not sure why we didn't push up more on the Monaghan kickouts, we would have certainly gotten more possession hat way.

Orla Finn is playing very well, scoring 1-01 and setting up the other goal. Our midfield is under pressure given how the Monahan pair are playing, although Formerly scored a fine point on the stroke of ht.

Scoring points will be hard in the second half as that wind is very hard to score into.

In for a tough second half, that's for sure.

Vera Foley in midfield on Sharon Courtney is a marking job - hopefully playing against the wind will suit us a little more. Hard to kick points against it though

15 left and up by 7 Finn with a few nice frees and Corkery with 2 beauties, stop them scoring a second goal should be enough.

With 6mins to go Monaghan had it down to 3 points before the energiser bunny herself popped over yet another crucial point, she also got ' man' of the match.

Our defence did not let Monaghan get a single goal scoring opportunity in the second half. Monaghan did get a yellow card but it didn't seem to upset their style of play.

    Final score Cork 2-10 v 1-10

Bring on the Dubs on the 25th for an eagerly awaited rematch and yet another opportunity for us to heap more misery on them- guaranteed to be a cracker of a game with not much in it either way.
