The Glen or Midleton. Douglas have the forwards to beat either but look poorly coached/setup.
is Eoin Cadogan too big a loss for Douglas?

Load of camogie games down for this weekend including games involving Cloughduv, Inniscarra and Aghada - all clubs with Cork players. I know the footballers deferred games for the county camogie team, pity the camogie couldn't do the same.

Disappointing from the camogie teams. The success over the past few years has probably hidden the fact that not all is well in the camp.

Aoife Murray's comment after, directed you would think, towards a former captain and the fact there's only one milford member on the intermediate and senior team probably tells you enough.

    Where what that interview??

Huge. IMO the best defender in club hurling in Cork. Douglas have no real alternative centreback and have put Mark Collins back there but he looked lost v Bride R.

Very poor conditions are leading to numerous mistakes by both teams. The players badly need to solo the ball rather than bounce it as it is continually being lost when they do.
Whoever scores a goal will have a huge advantage in a game like this.
Corks defence has been outstanding for the first 20 but a bit loose after that. Stack, Briege, Orla Finn and Reena doing very well but faster ball into the fowards might reap more rewards.

    From being ,0-03 v 0-01 up ....

    Ht Cork 0-03 v Dublin 0-04

Dublin the better team in the first half. They've been very wasteful they should be much further ahead.

15 left, all square thanks to Rhona's goal. All to play for.

Conditions me hoop, this is Ireland it rains nearly every day in some places and every other day in the rest. These conditions are far better than you'd get in the middle of February . Just like last week let's call a spade a spade. It's a poor game.

A mountain of wides, ball spilling all over the place, 14 scores and Dublin haven't scored in about 20 minutes. Hardly a classic

What can I say that I haven't said before about the Cork Ladies. When the pressure came on they stood up and produced a fantastic, spirited and skillful performance. Doireann with a couple of very good points. The work rate was enormous in the second half in particular.
Penalty at the very meant nothing really.
Heartbreak for the dubs yet again, no harm really.

    6 All Ireland's in a row.
    11 in 12 years.
The best Cork team I have had the privilege of watching.

    Ft Cork 1-07 v 1-06

Dublin had twice as many wides as cork. So what if Dublin didn't score for 20 mins, I don't care.
    Jog on.

Shaking after that - what a game. Performance doesn't matter a crap with the conditions, champions again!! Cork 4 - McGonigle 0!

Played 11 in Croke Park, won 11 - any other team ever have such a fantastic record

    Enjoyable match.

Pity there was not enough interest for a dedicated thread or any updates in the Dublin one.

Without the countdown timer I wonder if another 30 seconds would have been played

Corks style of play isnt very attractive, they seem to play a swarm defence in nearly every match.

Dublin are the better footballers but they are very weak mentally.

That wide that Dublin had that looked like a point will be a serious talking point as well

Marie Hickey forgot to address the Taoiseach and the President - big oops!

6 in a row, 6 in a row, 6 in a row - some party in Mourneabbey tomorrow night. I really hope a lot of people come out for the city homecoming tomorrow - these girls totally deserve it!

Fair dues to the crowd aswell. Over 34,000 , a new record.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Dublin point in the first half that was waved wide, it looked good on first viewing.

Owe sorry I thought this was a discussion board!

I'm not trying to take anything away from Cork they got the job done and are an amazing team but it's a game that will be shortly lived in the memory of the neutral.. You yourself said there were numerous mistakes

Loved the fact that Ciara got the thank you to SuperValu in straight away after Hickey mentioning Lidl!

Was definitely over - TG4 showed it again. No idea why the umpire on the far side didn't see it - had a great position.

Cork have a very good style of play and having seen most of their games over the past decade, I find it very attractive and it is certainly very effective.
The rain that fell in the first half did not help attractive football.
I don't think Dublin are better footballers either. 6 in a row and 11 in in 12 years would dispute that. They are certainly mentally weak though. Being beaten year in year out in the final will do that to you, especially as they were all close games and THAT comeback a couple of years ago.

Just saw that it actually was a dublin point in the first half. It looked like it was straight away, very poor decision that it was not given.

I'd disagree with Dublin being better footballers - you don't win 6 in a row being bad footballers. Cork girls are as skilful if not more skilful than Dublin. Cork played poorly in the first half, but were also made to play poorly by a very physical Dublin team.

Just saw it again. The umpire was in the perfect position but the nearside one was the one who gave it as a wide. Poor decision especially when they scored the pen.

Any reason why hawkeye isn't used for the ladies football?

Wonder if it's the same reason as last year.

So Dublin have lost by a point and have had a score incorrectly waved wide?

Disgraceful if true and really takes away from Corks win unfortunately.

I wonder is there any hope of Dublin appealing or Cork even offering a replay.

"Disgraceful"? Calm down with the over reaction. U'd swear the powers that be went out of their way to wave it wide. Honest mistake, if it was over.

However if it was waved as a point, and we assume the course of the game continued as it did, Cork would have won by 3 because that soft penalty would not have been given.
