Edge screen puts me off too. Would've pre-ordered for definite if it was a flat version. I'll try it in store in case it's not too bad but it probably will be.

Not sure what phone could be next for me. S6 is still going ok so I'm not in a mad rush just yet.

I've an S6 myself but getting the itch to change now. Am going to wait and see what Apple bring out but if its as underwhelming as rumors suggest I might go for one of these, looks great.

I may end up getting it anyway. Gonna see if they have one on display in the Samsung shop.

It was released in some regions already so hopefully they'll have it in store.

it was a Samsung only store. They had two S2's on display. One is a case and one beside it not in a case. It was a that large shopping center in Swords.

Edit: Just googled the name. The Pavilions Shopping Centre.

There's a Samsung store in the Dundrum Town Centre. Top floor.

It's just a rebranded Carphone Warehouse shop selling only Samsung devices and accessories.

According to Internet, Note 7 with 6Gb RAM version will be an exclusive model only for Chinese market. At the same time, I don't see a need for such a huge amount of RAM and 4Gb is more than enough for everything including heavy games. What I find interesting is a new energy saving mode with switching screen resolution from Quad HD down to Full HD or even HD in order to reduce energy consumption. I think it's a very good idea.

Will the Samsung store in Dundrum be selling Unlocked versions of the Note 7 from the release date in September?

Pre-ordered through the Samsung UK website. It's £729, so pretty steep, but comes with free Gear VR and a case.

Although Clove are rating at 6/10 on trustpilot? hard to know what to do as that is a very good price. Nearly 100 euro cheaper than any other ive seen.

This is another one to watch for good prices. Note 7 is not listed yet

The joys of Ireland eh! you cant buy it anywhere on the island without subjecting yourself to at least an 18 month contract!

[EDIT]: I mean to get a phone without contract is impossible on this island. Carphone warehouse (Or the samsung stores operating out of Carphones shops) are realistically the only ones I thought may have it, but you can only Pre Order a bill pay option.

Also, just off the phone to the Samsung Store in Swords and the lad on the phone said that when the S7 was released that you could go in on the day and choose either a PAYG version or a bill pay version.

Dunno if its going to be the same for the Note 7 but the 50 euro pre order is refundable so would it be worth a try?

No not for PAYG. I was in Eir a while back (Bout a week ago at this stage). Friend of my wifes works there. She said that the PAYG version is coming in at about the 859 mark. But they wont be offering it anytime soon PAYG.

Making them no money I suppose

Three have it on Pre-pay for 799.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 189 ✭✭nursewally

Just Preordered on Clove.co.uk for 796 unlocked with nexy day Delivery from DHL.

Not a bad price. Had to ring to give the order as the online order seemed to be getting stuck on the checkout.

Had to also ring again when they spelled Cavan as Cavern (Didnt wanna take the chance that it wouldnt get here). Seemed very professional.

Will let you all know how it goes. Expected Stock on the 2nd Sept. They hope to ship that day but it could be the monday (5th) depending on hold ups with customs etc.

Im a business custoemr with Vodafone and I have been checking their website recently for news on the new Note7 phone but there has been no updates so I called them today and the person in the call centre knwo nothing about it and was not able to tell me when, if ever, that Vodafone would be selling the Note7 phone in Ireland. I told them that Three already had it on their website so they were going to lose a business customer!
