Ordered Sky Q Silver myself the other day. Installation tomorrow, just in time for the new football season. Bought a new 4k TV too to get the most from it!

Has the engineer been in contact with you today? Getting sky in tomorrow and sky said the engineer would be in touch the day before but haven't heard anything yet.

Getting SKY Q installed next week. I'd say the uhd football drew in a lot of people who were in two minds

Liverpool/Barcelona was broadcast in UHD last weekend. I was impressed, looked the business.

Yeah I missed that. There seemed to be zero marketing for it.

Didn't get a call and he is due to come in the morning. Took the day off work so he better ring in the morning or just show up unannounced.

If you're talking about bbc, it's disabled in Ireland for the Olympics.

Can be a bit hit or miss alright. If it's not showing just turn off the box, unplug, give it a few seconds, plug back in and restart. Red button should be available then

What price for the basic package plus 4k sports. Also how much extra for bt/eir and is it in 4k also.

Looking at getting a 4k tv soon so hoping someone can help me out on the sky price? I used to be with them 2 years ago or so so i would be a returning/new customer?

I'd hazard a guess that Sky could find out for you.

Well if they don't know, I'm not sure how you expect anyone here to know better. Sky set the prices.

Thankfully there are still some helpful people on boards who have answered my question. Not sure if you're deliberately being unhelpful or are just naturally that way.

Yeah I'm pretty sure you would have to pay more if doing it another time. When I had my install I just contacted the reps here and they called me back to amend the order and added the extra boxes. It was €99 that way as opposed to €150 the other way.

I would have thought suggesting you ask the people who set the prices was being helpful but have it your way.

Thanks techdiver i think i'll do the exact same. I was hoping i could get by with the one mini box but i think it's inevitable i'll need the second.

    Thanks again

Yes, new LNB required and no it won't work with existing boxes.

I asked for a "hybrid" but was denied it. They only give them to people who had a Setanta multi room subscription as Setanta/Eir does not work on the minis.

Whether you get a hybrid LNB or not seems to be down to the engineer you get. I got one when I explained I had a FreeSat setup that I wanted to keep, but others have been refused.

Got sky and sky q silver installed today. Really happy with it. Just 1 question - What's the white/grey dot that shows up at the top right hand corner of the screen on some stations?

What stations are you talking about?

It's basically in place of the red button if there is no red button content. Press return/exit and it goes away.

how many outputs on a hybrid LNB and any more feedback on HD quality??

Anyone know if you can add red button channels manually with Sky Q? A516 website says you can't.
