Just ordered, cheers OP. A new screen for a 2nd Gen was going to cost €80, this solves that problem!

I've been waiting since 11am for Nightline to deliver mine. Is anyone else in the same boat?

If you check the tracking it doesn't give you a 2 hour window no?

Just glad everyone is getting theirs and the orders weren't cancelled. Posting from mine now and it's a great little phone for €89.

You are all getting a great bargain. I paid 149.99 for the Moto g 3rd gen from 3 only a month ago. Very happy with the phone, just wish I'd known that if I waited a few weeks I would have got it for 60 less.

yes. got an sd card slot though and marshmallow merges all your internal/sd card storage into one.

How does it perform with the 1GB of RAM?

Does the phone come with a sd card? If not where do you recommend picking one up and what size is best?

No car included but any micro SD card will do. Argos often have good prices.

Get a class10 card, marshmallow allows you to use sd as internal storage you want it to be a decent speed card. Update the phone before using it. I had to restart the phone 6 times to get it to download the update it kept stalling.

Where could I get one of those cards? What size is best for this phone?

Depends on what you do with your phone 16gb is plenty for most people unless you like hoarding photos and videos on your device which you should be backing up in the cloud anyway in case of loss/theft/failure.

I usually have about 5gb of apps and app data, 3-5gb of spotify downloads and 2-3gb of photos / videos, approx 1gb of crap like pdf downloads, documents etc.

Can't comment on android, but I'd imagine they aren't to far off also, but no way your fitting all that on a 16gb iPhone anyway, at most there's about 11.5gb available on a 16gb iPhone after ios is installed

Theres 8gb internal storage which accommodate all the system apps and their update versions plus immovable apps. The 16gb sdcard after formatting in ext4 gives you about 14.5gb free.

Got my Moto G in the post today, but while there is a USB cable, there is no plug? Did anyone else have this or was it in the outer box?

It doesn't ship with a power brick, it's one of the reasons it's so cheap for the spec.

That to me at least is crazy, so to be able to charge it you need to buy a power brick or already have had one from a previous phone / tablet and if this is your 1st purchase of a smartphone you've nothing to charge with.

What's more interesting is this is not called out anywhere on the website

Ah, I think it's safe to assume almost everyone has a power brick in their house at some stage, even if they've never owned an android their apple power brick will accept the cable, and if you don't have one you can pick one up for half nothing.

Mine shipped with a *white* USB cable, fml...

You know what they say abouting assuming, you make and ASS of U and ME, and not directed at you, but Meteor for not calling it out. And while i agree with you, and i have a house full of USB plugs, you said it yourself, they are half nothing and given the amount i'm sure they ship the cost per must be very low to them.

Trying to think of any other electric product where they'd ship it with the means to power it and coming up blank?

Everyone also has plenty of USB ports in their house too that they could charge it from. I know I'd rather pay less and get no power plug than get one and pay 5 or 10 euro more.

I'm a fan I already have about 12 usb wall warts 4 of them fast chargers, i wish they suplied multiple cables instead. Other things we've had in our house that came with no charger - kindle, nook, new 3ds xl.

Thanks Frostyjim for the heads-up and instructions, appreciated. I bought one last night to upgrade from my 1st Gen Moto G which has served me very well.

Anyone got any recomendations on a good value protective case? Was looking at this last night, seems okay?

Mine arrived, but don't see the Meteor Sim anywhere, despite it being listed in the package?
