Are you sure??? I remember huge debate about that, and that Annalise had been so far ahead after the 10 races that she'd have wiped it in the medal race, but it was only the medal race that counted.

    Open to correction, obviously.

No it's definitely double points. The top 4 were so close going into the medal race in London so it was in effect a straight race for medals between those 4.

    Slate is not wiped clean.

GB get bronze in 10m platform sync diving! They're about ten times happier than the gold medalist Chinese.

Damn, I missed that. I hate it that no matter what interesting sport I'm watching, there's someone always seems to be watching something better than me!

There's too much happening at once!!

Maybe we should start intermittently posting what we're watching in case someone else is interested - it's some amount of faff going through RTE, BBC and all the "other" BBC channels every half hour to make sure you're not missing out.

My strategy is to keep the boxing feed coming through on my laptop and then have the tv to flick around. Could really do with another tv though.

I reckon statistically more marriages and relationships break up in Olympic 16 day period than any other time!😄

Nah...cos they at least stay home when the Olympics are on. The World Cup on the other hand they want to watch every game in the pub and dont rattle home till 3am every morning for 3 solid weeks!

Who's doing the commentating on the gymnastics on BBC? Sounds exactly like yer man from Countryfile or The One Show some such programme - all I can picture when he talks is border collies and wellies!

No idea. But the voice of gymnastics, Mitch Fenner is sorely missed!

    Hah!

It IS the fella with the wellies and a border collie - Matt Baker! I knew he did Strictly Come Dancing, but turns out he was also a British gymnast in a former life? Who knew??!!

Its a bit like having your man Aonghus McNally commentate on the snooker because he once made a 12 break in Jasons in Ranelagh ;)

Anyone catch Phelps last night. In flying form, albeit at 100 free. Looking forward Phelps vs. Chad! Usually when geared up for these matches some 'nobody' steals the show!

Her odds have gone from 50/1 to 8/1! Boys 49er still 100/1 and bizarrely, better odds on the 49er fx at 50/1
