Couldn't be a correct asking price surely? It's what I would expect a 2013 to sell for (at a stretch)

@noelf do try and see it! Can't tell if it has the lounge pack in the rear. It's a rare colour and the low milage would help it's value. I can see it going for 8 - 10k Stg in the UK but 25k is way too much.

Motor tax in Ireland on that '07 C6 is cc based, so €1391, not €2350

Just discovered that before you posted Unkel that's what the dealer told me ..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,123 ✭✭✭✭unkel

It's a UK "07" plate, so first registered between March and August 2007 in the UK, so it's definitely on the old cc tax rate :)

Dealer is right in that if the car was on the new tax system, it would have been max tax (€2350). It looks like PSA were a bit behind the curve with the diesel technology compared to the likes of BMW and Mercedes, who made far more economical engines at that stage. Officially it is a joint venture between Ford / Jaguar but you can bet the engine is really a PSA. So all those people driving posh Jaguars and Range Rovers have a cheapo Peugeot engine in their cars :p

    I think all the 2.7 & 3.0 v6 TDV6 & HDi engines were manufactured at Dagenham.

If it's on English plates a car with that mileage etc. would have a bigger market on sale in England. Funny it's being sold here.

    kierownica po prawej (Anglik) :D

Just under €7k. Seller is probably also getting a good bit of VRT back. Isn't that fairly new legislation that allows RHD cars in Poland?

Yeah I think almost a year now.
And it hasn't been the complete end of the world carnage the government thought it was going to be.
    Feck all of them around.
I wonder would it make sense for a buy from Ireland to buy it and **** it back? Must be cheaper than buying in the UK or Ireland at the mo?

C02 production of an engine is directly related to fuel consumption

So yes, any car producing 230g/km of CO2 on the easy theoretical cycle, will be a real life gaz guzzler. I've owned a few cars like that and I think you have too :D

VW would never use similar tactics as used re nox to reduce co2 figure as applied to a car.
I mean why would they. It's not like a lower co2 would make any car more desirable. No never. I mean lower tax, vrt and lower perceived fuel consumption would not be something a good upstanding company like vw would be tempted to cheat over.
