    U17 will replace the U18 championship from 2018. U20 will replace U21.

    Why? Who knows..

So Under 17 becomes minor. Player at that age, that extra year are underdeveloped. I am sure there has been research done though, sports science etc and the fact of the Leaving Cert issue is a big thing.

Also what final is tomorrow morning?

Its the Leinster academies championship. Under 16s playing Laois in final tomorrow I think

Rheban my bet to win the Junior championship, tipped them at the start of the year. The rest of the teams don't seem to be up to much.

    SFL D2 Final:

    Clogherinkoe 1-10 Kilcock 0-12

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,237 ✭✭✭✭paulie21

    Clogherinkoe 1-10 Kilcock 0-12

Well that saved the County boards blushes a bit. Unbelievable situation where if Kilcock had won they would of had to playoff against Clane for promotion where Clogherinkoe would of been already promoted

    SFL D1 Final:

    Confey 0-4 Athy 0-2 (HT)

Confey's dominance not reflected on the scoreboard.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,237 ✭✭✭✭paulie21

    explain?

The top team after league phase in division 2 gained automatic promotion whilst the second placed team faced Clane who finished sixth from bottom in division 1 in a promotion/relegation playoff. So if Kilcock had won today and lost the playoff against Clane the division 2 champions from this year would still be playing division 2 football next year which I think is wrong

    SFL D1 Final:

    Confey 1-8 Athy 0-8

Poor game. David Slattery goal the difference.

same as last time, isn't it?

they have had some great luck with injuries etc. Great to have a consistent starting team.

edit: This is off top of my head that there hasn't been any "significant" injury losses, no disrespect to any player that has got injured.
