Local Muslims refuse burial to priest killer

Here is a powerful local message from local Muslims reported on Sky News: locals refuse to bury body of priest killer saying they don't want to taint Islam with him. I think that is just the sort of religious action needed to send a religious message to those who swallow the message of IS: you are outside the pale.

medical waste then incinerator , job done

A belief in gender identity involves a level of faith as there is nothing tangible to prove its existence which, as something divorced from the physical body, is similar to the idea of a soul. - Colette Colfer

The Catholic Church here in Ireland know plenty of ways to dispose of unwanted bodies, send them our way.

Funny enough for even the most rabid fundamentalist, among all the smiting of your enemies, enslaving their women etc Islam is quite clear about not attacking Christian clerics. Even in times of war, they are to be granted safe passage. There can be arguments back and forth about the nature of jihad and all that, but that part is pretty clear. Murdering that priest was against the faith and might be why this case in particular has local Muslims taking a stand of this nature?

It hasn't stopped IS before. A local bishop maybe Eastern Orthodox(?) was beheaded with a member of his religion some years ago.

The catholic church here should adopt a similar line with regards to gangsters and shootings.

Local to where the murder took place, or local to where they were from?
Remember these guys travelled nearly 500 kilometers to target that church.

Ho ho, four posts into something about Islam and we're already bashing the Catholic Church. Good job lads, let's see if we can break the record next time.

Islam has been tainted since day one, but standing up to extremists is refreshing considering what happened in Molenbeek. People need to accept that Islamic extremism is the true nature of Islam and if you disagree with it, then stop being a Muslim.

Do they not normally use a sword? Or at least a knife?

There seems to be quite close links, between the church that was attacked and the local Muslim community, as they donated the site for the mosque to them.

I'm sorry. It was brainwashed into me from birth to always think about the Catholic Church.

Can't see that happening, I remember how they indulged the provos.

I swear there could be a thread on this board of the Dalai Lama coming over here and someone would say how great it is he didn't hide mass pedophilia.

Is it really standing up to extremists though, if as Wibbs points out, that particular murder was against Islamic doctrine? And distinctly different from a suicide shooting, bombing, or truck drive, which they may well support, or be ambivalent about, despite shunning the beheader of a priest. i.e. they have nothing against 'extremism' as we might term it - it is simply Islam.

I disagree, no one should be denied a burial.

The decision on the burial will be made by the local mayor. The local Muslims have said they will not prepare the body as per tradition to be honest I can understand their view.

No grave or burial for them. Slaugher innocent people or mass murder etc and engage in this kind of terrorism and the only thing good enough for them is the incinerator. Erase their corrupt filth and perverse stupidy from existence. Leave nothing.

As for the muslims fair play to them for standing up and not letting these darwin awardees be allowed to have any assosiation with them.

Cremate him and throw the ashes in the nearest wheelie bin, job done.

Another cheap chance to have an attack on the church. Not only was this in bad taste, but a bit factieous considering it was a Catholic priest that was killed.

Not directed at you, but I have found it interesting that some people seem more offended about comments directed at the deplorable actions of the church than the events themselves.

I can't remember what comedia said it, but a joke never killed anyone.
