    Will have to try it so. From now on I'll probably apply the tyre shine so it can dry over night. A quick splash of water should have them clean again though, especially with the sealant :)

    I found poorboys to be great, use it on the dash too. Buy a tyre sponge on detailingshed.

    Give it one or two sprays and wipe on :)

    So spent the weekend in England and had to travel to Waxstock in Coventry, a trip of 1.40 hr each way but well worth it. All I can say is what a day I had looking and speaking with the car owners about the level of detailing involved getting their cars to this condition. I should note that most of the cars are daily drivers. The owners spent a small fortune applying ceramic and nano coatings to the underside of the cars. But the results are fantastic.

    The retail side of the show was massive, with manufactures such as Rupes, Dodo Juice, Autosmart, Meguiars, Zaino, GTechniq, Flex, Scholl, Auto Finesse and Mike Philips from Auto Geek had a stall selling wolfgang…. To name a few.

    Some of them cars never see the road again and they are trailered to events. Quite a few are driven when it's dry (my own included).

    I noticed the 1300 Sport is missing the bulkhead sound deadening pad (they all rotted and held water, rotting the heater bowl). The black clips are painted to hide them.

    Any know if Carplan Tripewax Shampoo is pH neutral? I have about 4 litres in the shed and don't know if I should scrap it and get something better :\

    Throw it down the drain.
    It contains its own "wax" and will spoil wqhat you already have on it.

    Autoglym Bodywork Shampoo is supposedly pH-neutral but only available in 2.5 litre form in Halfords.

    Keep it there for the jobs you will undoubtedly get asked to do!!
    There is no point using your best products on a quick job that will be unappreciated two days later! ;)

    I picked the Autoglym shampoo up just there. It will probably be the first to run out so better to have it available in Halfords than run out one weekend :D

    If I use BH Surfex HD on paint and wheels, will it remove any polish/wax on the surfaces?

    Depends on the dilution...but its likely to have an effect. If it's mild you probably won't notice any real difference.
