When was the last Christian martyred in Europe I wonder?

Don't you dare compare anti immigration speak to the holocaust

There were no Jews running around cutting off people's heads or driving over kids with trucks. There were no rabi's in synagogues preaching for murder.

People are asking to stop immigration into the west, not for concentration camps.

This hyperbole drama is pathetic. The people who carried out these crimes have much more in common with the nazi's than anyone who wants it stopped.

You should probably read the post I was responding to then.

The arguments about previous attacks were that they were not religiously motivated (which indeed they were not)

You cannot be on this planet.

    - Nice was religiously motivated
    - Bavarian train axe attacks was religiously motivated.
    - The Montpellier stabbing attack was religiously motivated
    - The Magnaville murders were religiously motivated.
    - The Ansbach bombing was religiously motivated
    - The Stuttgart murder was religiously motivated

This is in the last month.

Get a f*cking grip of yourself.

I read all the posts. Now **** off with your 'you are all nazi's' apologist crap. What the hell does the holocaust have to do with immigration policy.

Think the idea of 'binning' an entire race of people was the initial Hitler comparison

    What race would that be?

The post where he claimed its not worth taking in 2 million refugees if even a small proportion will commit acts such as this?

Oh wait, you prefer to interpret it your own way that suits your own agenda so you can use a tragedy to score points against strangers on a discussion board.

Also if you think that 'binning' a few bad cookies equates to Holocaust-esque genocide, then I think that says more about you than the guy who wrote that metaphor.

Let's see what the early descriptions of the attackers are. They can't use lone wolf this time round.

I was responding to the post suggesting we dispose of every single refugee.

    Well done lad.... you win!

I love this new internet trend of someone saying something horrible, and then when a more reasonable person compares then to Hitler, which is far from an unfair comparison, the original poster or someone else jumps in to take the moral high ground and call Godwin without acknowledging why the person made the Hitler comparison in the first place (i.e. comparing refugees to biscuits to be "binned").

Well, sometimes Godwinning is apt, when people display the same contempt for certain groups of people that Hitler did.

As per La Figaro live feed (and google translate)
The hostage-takers were in possession of weapons. According to police sources, at least one of the two maniacs had a beard and a chachia, small wool cap worn by Muslims

France must be surely one of the dangerous countries in the world right now, you'd want your head examined to go on a trip there

    Would you goway ta f*ck.

You've more chance of being killed in a car crash than a terrorist attack.

Yet people still get into their cars and you're saying to avoid a country.

He was referring to binning all the biscuits (I can't believe I have to keep referring to this stupid analogy) so it's a perfectly appropriate comparison.

F*ck this "I have a right to say whatever ignorant hateful sh*te I want, free speech blah blah:" talk like a Nazi and expect to be called one.

The problem with the biscuit analogy is that you can't just "bin" a load of people and then get another packet from the store.

    People are not biscuits.

    No ****, sherlock.

It was two Muslims that were guilty of it... just saying. Its so scary its beyond belief

It is troubling but not scary beyond belief. Terrorists are not super villains. These were just two scumbags who hate and can use knives.
What it means is Islamic extremism must be vigorously opposed.
No matter how violent or depraved these freaks become millions of people cannot be cowed or blackmailed into an Islamic Caliphate.
They will fail as other fanatics and totalitarians failed in the past.
All if us have a role to play in that we uphold our values and our belief in a liberal open society.
We need the police and military to protect us of course but we will win as long as democracy and freedom persist and that is through ordinary people refusing to be cowed.

Islam is more than a religion, its a supremacist political ideology and lifestyle that has no place in western Europe. It should be treated to the same disdain that any other fascist organisation or ideology would be.

Where are you getting all that from "If I knew there is only 1 poisoned cookie in a cookie jar I would bin them all." ?

Also, he didn't suggest binning a few bad cookies, he said he would bin every cookie because of a few bad ones.

Time to send our imported loonies back to lalaland and then pull the shutters up. We're not as far down this rabbit hole as the continent is so lets put the sfuking breaks on now.

No one said we dispose of anyone and you know full well. You don't like the anti immigration opinions so you scream racist and nazi and holocaust. it's the same stuff from the regressive left.
Explain again where the **** you saw anyone post anything that you could link to the holocaust.

If the refugees are the biscuits in the analogy, what do you think binning the biscuits refers to?

I don't think cultures are incompatible. There are plenty of sane people who are well educated who could integrate very well with western society. Its the religious wingnuts who are incompatible not just with western society but with civilisation as a whole.

I do not have a problem with europe TEMPORARILY taking in genuine people, but alas it seems that that is not possible in reality because so so many nut jobs are coming in hidden amongst them.

Now I have solution that some would consider unpalatable but here it goes....the troublesome demographic who cause the vast majority of terrorism in the west can be easily identified - uneducated, non-professional and unemployed males in the 18-30 age group. As a demographic they are dangerous people. They are the ones that need to be dealt with.
I'd have no problem giving refuge to women, children and older men because they are low risk. Obviously the authorities would have to refuse younger men transit to europe or deport them back to the mid east or simply prevent them leaving there in the first place. I would be in favour of long term detention of this demographic as a last resort if they cannot be reformed or deported.

In Nigeria and some middle eastern countries this has been a common situation, attack on Catholic Churches including blowing them up.

Probably one reason the police are making sure there are no explosive devices in the church.

The Vatican is a target according to ISIS, they have airport security to get into Vatican City. The problem is the ordinary churches elsewhere are unable to provide a high level of security.

I just hope this isn't just the start of attacks on churches in Europe.
