How can you compare Ronaldo to some vacuous reality star?

In fairness, he's only got himself to blame for that. Its embarrassing really to watch him these days. Anything he does, first look is above to see does he look good on screen/tv or could he possibly take his shirt off. As awesome a player that he is, he's becoming a parody of himself. Once he retires he won't be able to keep away from the screen and he will get facelifts etc and will become unstoppable cringe on shows and whatnot, he's going to be the Michael Jackson of soccer.

Meereeam, sitting pretty with her ear grating false contrived accent stupidly thinking that every man in Ireland is drooling at her. All she is is a clapped out souped up granny.

    The Simpsons.

It should have ended at the end of the 90's. It's merely a cash cow for Fox today.

It's continual presence (who still watches it?) has tarnished the earlier seasons which were arguably the greatest television ever produced.

How did these even make it past a pilot episode?
People that think these are even anyway remotely Funny need to be sectioned.

Modern Family is very funny. Humour is subjective but don't think anyone could say it shouldn't have made it past a pilot.

Anyway, mine are anything that Callum Best has ever been in or pretty much anything on the televised version of The Daily Mail that is TV3/3E.

Fair City and Emmerdale for their wretched acting.

The Big Bang Theory. I absolutely hate the cheesy lines that you hear being echoed by psuedo science lovin types.

I am really starting to hate the discovery channel. It has really declined in recent years. Its full of terrible reality T.V show type programmes these days.

i would go as far as to say that i find it disturbing that this excrement is so popular..cause you really have to have the intellect of a primate to find it amusing

I'd put my head in a pot of acid before I'd watch it. Absolute rubbish. I don't know how people watch it.

And poison for the brain, nowadays anyway.

I personally think a load of TV shows are rubbish but I can also see why people like them - be it Fair City, the Kardashians, Big Brother, whatever.

However The Big Bang Theory and Mrs. Browns Boys I struggle with....

How could anyone lump in Modern Family with the above! Haven't watched it right through but any episodes I've watched have been excellent.

The one about trying on wedding dresses, my momma watches it religiously. For some reason there are always family arguments and disappointments when trying on a dress.

    Mrs Browns Boys. No contest.

It is without doubt the worst thing I have ever witnessed on TV. It's a lame drag act scripted by baboons. It's crap old jokes ripped from the 70s and cobbled together into a show. It thinks it's funny when it's being crude. It isn't. It's ****. A monumentally woeful laughter track is tacked on that laughs every 5 seconds at what I don't know.

So, if you have a low single digit IQ then you might like it but you could probably write something better yourself. If you like disgusting foul mouthed drag acts that are completely witless you might like it. If you laugh uncontrollably when someone says things like "pissy knickers" then you might like it but chances are you should be seeking medical help as you've already lost most of your mind.

Woeful dreadful **** of the worst kind imaginable. Avoid at all and every cost. Really god awful piss poor tripe.

Ah the stereotypes in this show

Old priest who is mad , the goofy young priest

    The gay couple

Only good thing is that Brendens real life daughter is a fine women and so is the Donegal girl

Maybe because he's completely self obsessed much in the way the reality stars are.

For me it's NCIS. It even looks weird on-screen, all soft-focus and foggy. I find the characters are not likeable and the storylines are sh*te.

    Ah....he is and he isn't.

I'd be first in line to cry foul on soccer, I think it's quite boring, and his on pitch persona leaves a lot to be desired.

However, by all accounts, he's a gentleman away from the game.

    EG:

-No tattoos because he wants to be able to consistently donate blood (and marrow/platelets I think).

-Consistent charity work. (Think he's the no.1 athlete in the world that gives charitably).

-There's also that recent lovely story where he chastises a crowd of paparazzi for laughing at a Japanese kid who attempts to speak Portuguese to him. He said the kid had excellent Portuguese, was trying hard, why are they laughing etc.....

So yeah, away from the soccer, I'd love that kind of person as a role model for my kids.

On the pitch though, all that diving, prima donna ****e....meh. He's not the only one guilty of that though. Nobody's perfect.

The Big Bang Theory. I absolutely hate the cheesy lines that you hear being echoed by psuedo science lovin types.

A friend in the US was going out with one of the scriptwriters for TBBT, she told him that the writers actually include a load of funny jokes. When they deliver their script there's loads of proper jokes based on nerdy type stuff, games, boardgames, science and all that. Then the network will look at the script and be like, "Yeah, this bit here, about this computer game thing, yeah? Take that out and just get them to say World of Warcraft or Halo."
