    For me it's NCIS.
It even looks weird on-screen, all soft-focus and foggy. I find the characters are not likeable and the storylines are sh*te.

Mrs Browns' Boys is another one. Corny beyond belief; I don't see what's so funny about it.

Emmerdale. A soap that hasn't a patch on Eastenders.

Fair City. Cringey, twee Irish sh*te with wooden actors and atrocious dialogue.

    The Kardashians.

Vacuous, bobble headed morons famous because one of them has a big arse.

Lowest common denominator stuff and they will be partly responsible when the world finally ends.

    Mrs Browns' Boys

i would go as far as to say that i find it disturbing that this excrement is so popular..cause you really have to have the intellect of a primate to find it amusing

A lot easier to list the stuff that isn't mediocre shi'te. I just avoid rubbish rather than make myself suffer but I'll assume Mariam "wonderful wonderful fantastic fantastic marvelous marvellous" O'Callaghan's show is on that list.

Actually I just remembered a reality tv show I saw an episode of years ago.

The format was that there are 3 or 4 guys in a house with a girl. Only one of the guys is single and the girl has a few days or whatever time to decide which it is.

If she guesses right, her and the guy go on some special holiday/date. If she guesses wrong, the guy she wrongly guessed was single gets to go on the same holiday/date with his partner.

The whole thing consisted of them denying they had girlfriends, while their girlfriends watched on from some studio, commenting approvingly if the guys sounded convincing while denying their very existence.

    Really really sad stuff.

    RTE Telly Bingo.

Have a slight fear of that presenter - in the same way some folks have phobias of Clowns.

Everything with Catherine Lynch, Big bang theory, the 70s show, Miranda, Two and a half men, two broke girls, the cleveland show, geordie shore (and every show of the same format) and, of course, Mrs Brown...

Edit: Oh that Honey Boo Boo thing too. Christ it's despicable...

'Naked and Afraid'..... what's the point if the producer blurs everything out? They are neither naked nor afraid.

'Big Brother'..... the format was novel 20 years ago. Now it's like getting blood from a turnip. Most viewers wouldn't even know the origin of the phrase Big Brother.

It's painfully bad. I don't mind Alan Carr but that other present is unbearable. She gives Canadians, sorry Irish-Canadians, a bad name.

God I remember that, Jodie Marsh and Callum Best were both on it more then once I believe. Awful stuff indeed, you had allot of "twist" reality TV at the time.

Anyway, it's 2 and a half men for me. Charlie Sheen was just better then this (Aston Kutcher was about his level) but I would just look at it and I'm like why is this so popular. The kid who played Jake made like $100k AN EPISODE more then Hugh Laurie in house. TBBT started off very watchable but I gave up on it years ago and happened on it one night and i was looking at it much the same as two and a half men but not nearly as bad.

That must have been an experience
I've nothing against folks who have succeeded in life, but surely that show is an embarrassment to the wealthy folks.
Did you at least check under the tables for their webbed feet?:pac:

    Reality shows like love island,
d list celebs go somewhere to see who is gonna have sex.
or pretend to fall in love for a few weeks .
    Teen mom show,s on mtv,
so people get a show now because they got pregnant age 16,
and did not know how to use a condom.

    Big brother is awful ,
    theres d list celebs,some sexy women ,
some old american actor who is there cos he needs to pay his tax bill .
Catfish ,a show about people who are in a relationship with people
on facebook, social media who they never met .
Everyone on this show is stupid,or weird or some type of stalker
some women are in love with someone who turns out to be a woman
    ,pretending to be a man.
Naked dating, a us show ,
people go to a island, they go on dates naked.
its like big brother ,with naked people .

No one mentioned Killinaskully yet? Shame on you....

As for Take Me Out with Paddy McGuinness, it's Breaking Bad compared to the TV3 version that survived for a few seasons with Ray Foley.

Sun, Sea and Suspicious Parents where the parents stalk their kids on holiday. It's actually disturbing viewing.

    Big bang theory, absolute tripe.
Mrs browns boys, the "jokes" were old when brendan o Carrolls grandad was a young fella.
    Everything on tv3/3e. Tabloid ****e.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12 CrazyEight

Looking at the things on tv now and who kids look up to and model themselves on, i really fear for my kids growing up the way things are going! Kim Kardashian for girls and Ronaldo for boys. My wife is as bad soaps in the evening and then onto big brother and keepin up with the kardashians all while i sit in the corner re-reading 1984!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,184 ✭✭✭riclad

The brits think mrs browns boys is a documentary.
Breakfast tv , on tv3, its like itv breakfast tv, with a tiny budget and no famous people on it.

Embarrassing bodies......eh hello......if you find it embarrassing why do you think people want to look at it!?

    Love Island
    Big Brother
    Keeping up with The Kardashians
    Fair City
    X Factor

Basically any reality TV show that you know deep down is scripted or the result is probably fixed.

I'm shocked that The Late Late Show hasn't been mentioned yet, it should have been put out of its misery years ago. I'll also include any of the other RTE Friday/Saturday night chat shows, they're just painfully bad.

All soaps, no exceptions. The sooner making, appearing in or watching a soap is made a criminal offence the better.

Mrs. Brown's Boys - an embarrassment for all involved although Brendan O'Carroll's bank manager must love it.

Anything featuring a Kardashian or any of their extended family. A whole "entertainment" monster has been spawned on the back of one fat-assed nobody appearing in a sex tape.

Scripted reality shows - they take cringeworthy to whole new levels.

X-Factor, Britain's Got Talent, etc. Surely that goose is out of golden eggs by now and should be allowed live out its senior years in a more dignified manner?

The Late Late Show with that fool Tuberty. Cringeworthy stuff and the same RTE friends on there as guests every few weeks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,427 ✭✭✭topmanamillion

    Big Brother
    Fair City
All those terrible tabloid programmes TV3 & 3e are so found of.
    NCIS
    That awful Miriam O'Callaghan show
7 o'clock show (which they put on at about 3 in the day)
    The new Top Gear
    Hardy Bucks
    Loose women
