The Pro-GG side (people like me) were pissed to see it confirmed that game developers and journalists who were friends, partners and colleagues were actively helping to boost each other, which was misleading to gamers.

We'd all known it was a problem, but this is when it was really confirmed. For example, we'd all be a bit pissed off if we found out that say, in Batman VS Superman the best reviews actively came from Zak Snyders wife or roommate or something.

Unfortunately GG was somewhat taken over by a bunch of mouth breathing sexist assholes who started to attack Zoe Quinn in truly disgusting ways.
This triggered a response from your more hardline feminist SJW types who responded by calling all gamers nerds and sexist or racist. They all started doxxing each other and the main stream media had a field day.

It launched the career of Anita Sarkessian massively, a woman I personally do not because it has been proven quite a few times she has no interest in gaming, but just wants to make money, whilst actually gaming feminists like Liana K have been pushed away because she wasn't feminist enough.

The whole thing was a bloody clusterfúck of epic proportions. Anyone who tried to have some kind of reasonable debate was shut down by both sides.
I personally have been called both an White-Knighting SJW and also a Racist, sexist neckbeard, within a week.

My post wasn't directed at anyone in particular and I don't have a few hundred thousand fanboys to react to it if it was. I was poking fun at the 'noble-naivety' of seeking the middle ground. I don't actually want kill someone with a shovel.

I'd imagine that Twitter have IP-blocking tools at their disposal. On top of that, it only takes one of his opponents to see a link to his re-reg profile on whatever "alt-"/far-right cesspit his fanboys congregate on to report that to Twitter and get that banned.

Surly the folks at twitter HQ have more to be worried about than this shte

Do they ban people often. ...I only ever read news/match reports etc on twitter.....so not huge up on it

They basically never ban people, and to spot Milo wouldn't need IP tracing tools, as he is begging for attention and simply is not on twitter to read "interesting" people. He is there to showcase himself and a rereg of him would be advertised at breitbart and within minutes on the whole internet. You would read on rte about it.

I welcome (and would be critical of censoring) anyone fairly challenging excessive political correctness and what can be double standards that accompany it, and I believe this man Milo can be reasoned and articulate... but stuff like the photo of that overweight guy with "fat should be shamed" and "gays should get back in the closet" (incidentally the reference to him as an uncle Tom of gay people doesn't seem like an insult in my opinion, it just seems like a fair observation!) is just being needlessly inflammatory and spiteful.

People who say they view that as valuable discussion to be defended on the grounds of free speech have to be having a laugh.
