Well that final round was a pretty good advert for golf.

    Except no one seen it.

I mean it just shows how good henrik Stenson played today that mickleson shoots a 65 and is three behind at the end.

A very special day of golf. Never been so gobsmacked by a single round of golf....not even in Tiger era!

That was as impressive a performance as you'll ever see on a golf course.

Delighted for him, he's one of my favourites on the Pro tour. About time a Scandinavian golfer won a major.

Sky Sports commentator referred to "Beefy" Johnston walking down the 18th as "the cave man cometh"....not a very pleasant thing to say, regardless of being humorous or not.

He does look a bit like a cave man with his beard in fainress.

    A fairly harmless comment.

Johnston should be more worried that Butch Harmon might try and adopt him.

Was just thinking the round could have been lower - but he made a mile of puts - fair enough.

Yes a game like that should have been on BBC where everyone could enjoy it.

Phenomenal day of golf! What a performance by Stenson.

Something about the Open that suits guys when they reach their 40s and beyond, it's the maturity they've developed I guess. If Stenson had had this week's attitude and composure over the course of his career, he could easily have 7-8 Majors by now. Delighted for him anyway, played by far the best golf all week.

    Except no one seen it.

Yeh a real pity that the number of people who witnessed that is much lower than it would normally be had it stayed on free to air. The casual viewer is less likely to go out of their way to watch the Open on Sky.

    Give what a rest.

This is the commentary in all sensible media outlets during week.

We should be more concerned about it here.

Thats because he just read the joke out flatly like the rest of his speech.

He didn't actually read it as a joke.

I noticed it yesterday when Stenson was signing his card. He is lefthanded.
The last pairing in this years open you have a left hander who swings the club right and a right hander who swings the club left.
