We would be alarmed if we weren't still in stitches about yesterday ;)

Don't worry bobby, we'll be fine.

We're on a far better financial footing than before, that much is clear. That doesn't mean there aren't still financial issues, but those too will be resolved in time just like many of the other issues from the previous board.

You currently have more debt than you did when you went bust. In fairness, this time it is to private individuals rather than banks, but I wouldn't be burying my head too far into the sand.

Been a while since we had that 'burying head in the sand' stuff again.

Something highly embarrassing must have happened to get you guys back in this thread.

Aye... We got beat by a nobody team... But let's not go comparing embarrassing stories though. ;)

Embarrassing would be getting knocked out by them. Losing one game when there's a second leg isnt too bad. It's not like we've spent the past 3 seasons getting beaten by part time teams.

Nice deflection from your level of debt though.

That was almost too easy :D

And still no reply to the fact that you are almost £40m in the red and climbing.

So competitive football returns for us today as we play Motherwell in the League cup. This game is on VT Sports 3pm kick off.
The manager has said because of the really early start to the season he will be using these games as pre season for the players.
Barton doesn't make the squad today but Kranjkar is on the bench.

RANGERS: Foderingham; Tavernier, Wilson, Kiernan, Wallace; Halliday, Holt, Forrester; Waghorn, Miller, McKay.

SUBS: Gilks, Kranjcar, Hodson, Hill, Windass, Thompson, O’Halloran.

Not easy to buy though with Rangers fighting the retail deal

Tav puts Rangers one up at the start of the second half

    Defence is absolutely appalling though.

    Krancjar bossing it so far.

Refereeing is already at the same level as last year it seems.

Keeper handles the ball outside the box, nothing given.
Clear handball in the box, nothing given.

When even Chris Sutton as commentator is sticking up for us... Michael Stewart is a ****. 'Only a penalty if the ball is handled deliberately'.

    Waghooooorn :) 2-0, what a goal.

Wagorn makes it two with a lovely curling shot from outside the box. Game over

Good result some real positives but one major flaw the defence

Great to get the win but far too early for competitive football for me. Didn't get to see the game, as I cancel ESPN, Sky Sports and Setanta for the summer months but the reports I have read suggest that it was a decent performance. Tav scored our first goal last season, if I remember correctly. Doesn't look like Barton got any time on the pitch. Still not ready for action, I presume.

Nah Barton has not had much preseason and the boy Crooks is still getting over his injury. I expect to see some changes for Tuesday nights game.
Have to say Kranjkar was a joy to watch if he keeps this up he is going to be outstanding for us

Barton and Krancjar have the potential to compliment each others game very well.

Was he playing through the middle or put out wide?
