Up and down for me.

I think it's lacking a serious social aspect. What's the point in a game based on collecting things if you can't compare and compete with friends and people near by?

Part of the reason mobile games are addicting to me is because I want to get one up on my Facebook friends or people around me etc

It's fun so far but I see little point to this games existence so far.

On ios so grabbed the aussie version. Its crashing like a baby in a F1 car atm. Does seem fun when it works though

Can't get logged in now. Myself and a workmate are trying to get into it, there's a gym around the corner from work we were gonna hit first thing in the morning but I won't hit level 5 by then

So walked the long way home to hit a few more pokestops but when I'd get to them it wouldn't register the location or spin. A bit of a pain

Right managed to download the app with a US itunes account, now just playing the F5 game while trying to create a PTC account, likely will need to wait till tomorrow morning when the yanks are all asleep

Had server issues earlier when I went out for a walk so couldn't do much, but caught a psyduck in my living room tonight!

Not the foggiest what I'm doing. I got a Bulbasore (iirc) by accident at my desk in work the second time I opened the app, it was just there. Since then it's been just aimless standing/walking. Most of the time it says something to the effect of "no GPS lock". Tred to use the incense but not sure what to do, it kinda bounces on screen and when you touch it it disappears and returns back to my inventory. I only wanted to see what the fuss was about, this may be getting binned today

After a full day trial.

If server's are getting a hammering pokestops won't register a bit of a pain.

Leveling up will get harder. I don't think you'll need to pay to do it quicker but pretty much capture every Pokemon you see is what I'm at at the moment. And spin every pokestops.

Just completed my first gym battle. I won but at the expense of 5 Pokemon. I'm guessing there's no Pokémon centres to heal them so revives an potions only. But they aren't in the shop so only available at pokestops? Glad I won't need to spend money to heal them.

I only got 250exp for said battle which I thought was measly and the Pokemon didn't het stronger which is really annoying. Only by dust and candy can you do the so it seems. (This is where IMO the free to play will be an issue)

Also when a wild Pokemon appears it would be great if you could train your Pokemon by putting them against it.

Looks like there's no way to battle a mate near by which is a shame. (Please correct me if I'm wrong)
Or trade Pokémon (please correct me again)

It's enjoyable I'll keep it. It has made me walk a longer way home so I can get more pokestops and hatch an egg so that's good for me health.
But if people paying for stuff start to beat me constantly I'll more than likely give it the boot.

Sigh, still cant register cus they have now shut down that part of the site. The obvious lack of preparation for this launch is astounding, coupled with their refusal to communicate any info is just gonna create a lot of bad sentiment towards the game as it goes forward

I hope there is more to the game than what I have seen so far. Dublin city full of pokestops and pokemon but not much at all in my home town. Also I thought I'd be battling pokemon in the wild not just in gym, seems strange otherwise.

Will give it benefit of doubt for now and see how I get on at lunch today.

I think it's because people are downloading the app in regions where it hasn't been officially released at the moment so the servers for those regions might not be up and running yet.

No im talking about the pokemon site for simply registering an account, its down everywhere and anyone who is using that for the game instead of the google login cannot currently access the game either, also they knew well people were gonna find workarounds for the release stagger so not planning accordingly is just stupid and if they didn't know people would do that they are even more stupid. All in all its a pretty poor release considering how anticipated this has been and its glaringly obvious from the lack of communication they were not in the slightest prepared for this

OK, so when capturing wild Pokemon if you hold the ball down the green circle gets smaller and makes the shot more accurate. You can also spin the ball and curve the shot for extra points! Spent a few balls working that one out!

I have being playing since yesterday evening. I wished I lived /worked closer to one of gyms and pokestops but sure the walk will do me good

Gave in and am using a google login, went for a walk at lunch and caught several, this is definitely gonna encourage me to exercise, coupled with some geocaching it will be a lot of fun to go adventuring with

Apparently you can download it in the iphone app store if you change your apple ID to a US one but you need US card details to complete the log in...effort. I just want a squirtle FFS.

It won't on the bus or in the car, only at slow walking/running speeds. If you're stuck in traffic it will! App can be open in the background not actually on the screen I think. Still eats away at your battery though.

It won't run in the background but does have a battery saving mode that will turn of the screen when it's upside down
