how do people deal with sweaty eyewear on cycles?
i've a cheapo pair of glasses and i find that after a while, the insides get covered in sweat. do i just take my top off to cool down and lessen the sweat?
Head buff thingy for soakage is what I use. And a spare should there be a coffee during spin

Came across this Raleigh RM1 today at Elfin Windmill in Roscommon. Interesting to see two chains. One for the motor the other for pedalling.
Going by the registration, it must be older than it looks. It has the original series for Roscommon which began with DI 1 in 1903 and ended with DI 9999 in December 1963. Presumably DI 7887 would be late 1950's/early 1960's given that the numbers would have increased rapidly towards the end of the series as motor vehicles became more popular.

The RM1 was originally manufactured in 1958 I think so you'd be spot on there.

Read a Roy Hodgson quote earlier saying Iceland were 'the ultimate test'...I laughed at the time :p

Are we still meant to behave the same towards the Brits on boards in light of recent developments or can we charge them levies for the enjoying that priviledge?

We've decided to charge for any drivel that's posted. The last 2 posts are examples of the sort of stuff that will hopefully allow Boards to flourish again....

Your surname is not British enough sounding. You could be out soon.

    Love this snippet from http://www.irishtimes.com/life-and-style/health-family/sore-head-after-the-football-there-may-be-a-cure-1.2691937
In the paper, titled “The effect of alcohol hangover on the ability to ride a bicycle,” the sunlit uplands of medical research were further illuminated at University Hospital Düsseldorf, where 71 “test persons” were recruited to get drunk and then ride a bike while hungover. But this was soon reduced to 70 when “[O]ne test person had to be excluded from the evaluation, as he secretly kept on drinking an unknown amount of alcohol after 11pm for an unknown period of time.”

I noticed this these negative effects going up Horn Head this morning after a bit of a late one last night. It's a pity the IT didn't print this useful information a day earlier

It's hard enough going up there in a car! I've headed in that direction a few times on the bike but something keeps drawing me away from making that turn. Fantastic scenery on a good day all the same.

Taken from the irish which is Corrán Binne, which translates as Crescent Peak or Cliff

Sheephaven I'm not so sure about, but think it's Cuan na gCaorach, which is exactly the same as the english
