Tyrion unshackled them and tried to set them free but they wouldn't or couldn't leave.

I don't think he tried to free them? He was just releasing them from their chains.

Yeah i noticed him when he appeared before. The series really does attract some great british and irish actors. He was particularly good in Spooks.

Maybe the Lannisters (under Jaime) and the Starks will end up working together.

Has everyone forgotten that nice guy Jamie pushed that stark cub out of a Window to his intended death, leaving him unable to walk.

If arya finds that out then he is fecked.

Someone on Reddit put together frame by frame shots of the wildfire explosions. Pretty cool, especially the High Sparrow one...

    Rhaegar Targarian presumably.

They muted her saying the same. Perhaps she said "His name is Jon Targarean"? Which would be odd, as Lyanna wasn't married to Rhaegar.

Mind you, if she was, that would make Jon the king of Westeros by birth, just saying.

She surely knew about him almost killing Ned when he ended up getting stabbed in the leg in season one?

Looks like Cersei invoked the "you snooze, you lose" article of Westerosi succession law. But as Tommen's nearest legitimate male kin he would normally be next in line.

He gave up all claims to succession when he became kingsguard, though technically tommen firing him should fix that.

I think with Cersei on the throne and the northern lords flocking to a bastard, it shows that the old ways don't really matter anymore.

What did cersai do to get on aryas list anyway?

It's been that long ago I can't even remember.

Who beheaded ned? I assume he is on the list?

So glad the high sparrow storyline is over. Was getting really sick of all that.

    She killed Sansa's direwolf.

Edit: also ilyn Payne beheaded Ned I think and he is on her list.

    So just finished the episode.

    What bizarre pacing.

How could I take the Twins seriously after seeing the Sept of Baelor blow up? Hi, half the cast just burned a lot. Want to see Jamie snubbing Walder Frey?

    So many questions...

Why was Jamie in the Twins? He knew bad stuff was going down in the capitol. I assumed it was due to Ramsay killing Walder Frey's daughter and setting the Boltons at odds with both the Freys and Lannisters, but no, he was just chilling after taking Riverrun.

Why was Tommen prevented from going to the Sept if Cersei didn't care if he lived or died? She didn't seem too cut up by his demise, and hadn't bothered visiting him throughout (just sent a servant with the message so devastating that he jumped from the Red Keep). Maybe she wanted him to see the Sept blow up to rub his face in it? Very odd.

Daenerys' alliance has set their battle plans against all of House Lannister. All two of them.

House Lannister killing its own. Not sure what I think about that. Cersei seems to have gone full crazy: but it leaves her without any motive now (her whole thing was her children). With their numbers devastated, their enemies legion, and their allies dead (Walder Frey and Roose Bolton) or turned (Littlefinger), I can't really treat them seriously as an antagonist, no matter how black Cersei's clothes are, or how big her metal shoulder pads are. Cleganebowl unhyped.

I really would have preferred Margery to survive in all honesty. She was the most intelligent woman in the cast. Quite honestly I'm surprised at her turning up at the Sept if she was concerned that Cersei was going to go full Mad King on the proceedings (even if she didn't know about the wildfire she had good reason to fear a woman with the Mountain, Master of Whisperers and head of House Lannister at her side.

"Promise me Ned" didn't have the emotional punch I expected (as in, it had none).

The Sparrows and Freys are dead... but it was too fast... too painless. Call me a ghoul if you will, but I wanted a bit more Tarrantino to this vengeance. Great seeing Arya in the... fray... but god-damn I would have liked to see her kill the man who killed her unborn nephew and brother's wife. It also leaves nothing for next season. Do I really care if Daenerys takes the 7 kingdoms. Really? I do wonder what dentists all that characters use.. Jaysus those are decent teeth for a Renaissance Europe society... better than my own in fact. Lisa needs braces. Oh right, the out-takes...

    -

    Margery senses tingling.

    -

Walder Frey: I should gag but that was in all honesty a really tasty pie. Shame I'm too full to move though.

    -

Servant: I am afraid that Ser Pounce has gone missing your grace. I am very sorry your grace. Very sorry.

    -

Karstark: Anybody notice me? No? Cool... KING IN THE NORTH KING IN THE NORTH!

    -

Daenerys: I know Daario said he loved me, but he just isn't the same man he was when I first met him.

    -

Brienne: Pod, why are we still rowing! The battle against Ramsay could be over by now for all I know!
Pod: Tyrion once said that row-boats in Westeros were cursed to enter some sort of other dimension, but I always assumed that it was a myth like grumpkins and white-walkers!

1 thing I dont get or may have missed. The 2 dragons were locked up because Danerys could not control them any more. How is she suddenly able to control them again?

She can control Drogon and he's the one in charge of the three.

Assuming they find a way through the Wall, the Whitewalker army and Dany have the strongest forces going to war with no distractions.

I think it's fairly obvious they already have their way through the wall....and it's been hinted at already. The night king has touched Bran. And like we saw at the tree, where Bran goes they can now follow. As soon as Bran goes south of the wall, they can follow him and the wall's magic wont matter.

He wasn't in Rverrun, he was in The Twins where the Frey's live. Presumably he had gone there to return Edmure Tully to his cell in case the Frey lads got a bit stabby.

Jaysus, she's going to kill someone just for killing a dangerous dog. I would have thought a light slap would be more appropriate.

Where is arya getting the faces from now?

I think the circumstances around the dog's death were unjust though or something. Don't fully remember what happened but I think arya's dog attacked joffrey because he was acting the prick and the dog ran away before anything could happen to her, but cersei demanded that a dog had to be killed to make up for whatever happened to joffrey so they ended up killing sansa's dog instead.

He left Mereen pre-siege and got back potentially months later. Events aren't all happening at the same time.

Lady Tyrell knew her her family were dead when Varys made his appearance too, even though that scene was before Jamie returned to see the city still smoking.

The king of the north chant went on for a while!!

Not much chat about the scene where the mountain got himself a play doll. Probably the most chilling scene in the episode.

Lancel went down a bit easy tho.

I don't think Missandei was in KL.

Any chance dead dragons can become zombies?

Can someone explain about Robert, Rhargar, Leanna? Was it explained in season one or is it book stuff?

It is book stuff concerning events before the timeline of the books and show begin that has more than been alluded to in the show already. If you really want to know, just Google the names.
