Would Jamie not be king ???

There was something a few seasons back that if you're King's Guard that you renounce all other titles and can't have children. A king who can't have kids can't continue the bloodline. Even though he did have three kids.

Not many mentions for Arya killing that smelly **** Frey!! And feeding him his children

    Bon appetite douche bag :)

Obviously that's the definition of a wall. My point of that it would be a bit thick to have the wall be a central tenet of five books and six seasons of a TV show if the Big Bad can just use a bit of trickery to walk through it.

I was agreeing with you I intended on posting that then noticed yours, so I acknowledged it and made a sarcastic joke. I also beleive that Bran could topple the wall next season passing through it

Jamie's not in the kingsguard any more.

It would have been great to see Walder Frey eat a bit of the pie and then get disgusted by it and spit out the bit of finger that it showed in the pie.

I know there was a deleted scene a few seasons ago that touched upon Maester Pycelle and why he puts on an act. He's dead now, what was the ultimate prupose of it?

Did Olenna Tyrell know that Cersai had killed her family when talking to the Dornish?
I know she mentions something about killing but did she mean physically dead?

Olenna was wearing black, so I presumed that she knew that all her family were dead and she was wearing mourning clothes.

So danerys army, the martells and tyrells are all against cersei now. She wont last long as queen

I think you'll find the other (larger?) half of house greyjoy will side with Cersie. She did just become queen and has no husband and the iron islands did just get a king.

His original plan can work with cersie instead and we might see a massive naval battle in the next season's first half

With three dragons it will be over quickly.

i'm looking forward to that as it'll be the first battle where the enemy will expect the dragons. Perhaps we'll get the biggest surprise death of the series and they'll kill one of the dragons

Or, you know, the bit where she actuallytalked about Cersei killing her son, grandson and granddaughter.

That's why there's three dragons. One has to be killed, and soon, after the fighting begins to show they are vulnerable. Otherwise the whole thing is over already.

Was there any significance to that stone ring we see Cersei wearing?

    This too shall pass.

New theory - the armada will stumble across Gendry hanging around in a row boat, and he'll tow them all to King's Landing.

Well I thought the Trinity Library was big! Good luck to Sam trying to find the information he needs. I hope they have a good librarian and filing system to hand. :D

I think Tyrion is in love with Daenerys or at least that's the impression the writers want to give - an alternative to Dany having to find someone in Westoros to marry.

Assuming they find a way through the Wall, the Whitewalker army and Dany have the strongest forces going to war with no distractions. Cersei and Jon Snow now have the forces, but also have distractions in the form of Jaime and Littlefinger, respectively.

So it lines up like this:

Daenarys vs Cersei vs Jon Snow vs The Night King.

She also directly said it in that conversation

The way I see this is that she has a stronger connection to Drogon of the three dragons. When she was at her weakest in Mereen, unable to control things, looking powerless and not the full powerhouse she can be, Drogon fecked off. I think there is some special relationship, like their mids are synched or something so that Drogon knows when she is in trouble, like in the fighting pits, and comes to save the day. I don't think that was just coincidence. Then Drogon got lazy, Dany was still not back to her most confident.

It wasn't until she burned the Khal's that she began to show that side again so naturally they find each other and now they are a stronger pair than ever before.

The two dragons in captivity no doubt reacted to the return of Drogon and broke free from their prison to help in the battle.

ok, I totally misunderstood that part. I was under the impression that she released them.

Varys is covering some ground, off to dorne for a quick cameo and straight back to Mereen for the launch of the navy

The one thing i dont get is that danareys has no opposition now bar cersi, and the lannisters are already in a bad spot. No tyrells propping them up.

Dornish and tyrells obviously will be there for dany, starks have no interest in southern war as long as they have the north.

I just dont see whose there to oppose her at all. Besides the white walkers.

Maybe the Lannisters (under Jaime) and the Starks will end up working together.

Wasn't really expecting Cersei to be the one sitting on the Iron Throne by the end of this season. She is a full-blown monster now, completely out of control. I can only assume they're getting the pieces in place for Jamie to kill her. He looked fairly disturbed by the developments since he last saw her. I thought the scene where she is crowned was shot beautifully though.

Difficult to tell exactly how Sansa was feeling or what she was thinking when the north started declaring their loyalty to Jon. She clearly harbours her own ambitions, but I'm not sure whether she would rather operate in the background or be the face of the cause, or if she's happy to let Jon have the title of 'King in the North' while she stays more low-key. She knows for sure now that Baelish is completely obsessed with her though, which, if she plays her cards right, she could really use to her advantage. I would imagine he still believes he holds all the cards, but he let the cat out of the bag by admitting that all of his actions are driven by a desire to sit on the Iron Throne with her as his bride. She could have him very quickly wrapped around her finger.

    And R.I.P Margery. :(

Well that was a satisfying episode. Poor Margery. I think most people will miss that wee minx. No wonder tommen couldn't carry on.

After a dip in recent evil form cersai certainly played a blinder here.

Was that nun in for a rogering from the mountain? That was what I took from it.
Cersai maybe realises that the big man needs to have some fun too.

I agree with others that the young mormont girl is a good character.

Cersai has so many enemies it's hard to see a way out for her. I wonder if the kingslayer might become a queenslayer as well.

Great tv. It's going to be a long 9 or 10 months. So many stand out moments this season but I think my favourite was still ramsays letter/message sent to Jon snow. Really rubbed Jons face it it over the bastard issue. It was a very Ramsey thing to do. :-)

    Amazing episode.

Just in case anyone else didn't notice (I only noticed on the second watch), Arya was in an earlier scene in the episode as the woman who Bronn said was admiring Jaime. Arya's murder of Frey is one of my favorite scenes in the entire show, great to have the old Arya back!

Also, anyone else shocked for a second that Daenerys was only slightly taller than Tyrion (until they zoomed out and showed that Tyrion was standing on a step.)

You saw it in advance of that. She was sitting beside him then got up and walked down the steps.

Tyrion unshackled them and tried to set them free but they wouldn't or couldn't leave.

Any opinions on how Jaime feels about Cersei sitting on the throne? His face didn't give a lot away in the coronation scene. Could he be preparing to oppose her in some way? House of Lannister divided perhaps.

Can't see it going any other way apart from Jamie killing her in a weird sort of re-enactment of what he did to the Mad King?

I think he's more pissed off that she is chief suspect in murdering a fair proportion of Westerosi nobility and prompting his son to kill himself. Of course he also knows that she has started another war just when he has ended the first and he'll be expected to fight it for her.

Robett Glover, who refused to help Jon before the battle and is in the final scenes, is played by Tim McInnerny, who played Captain Darling in Blackadder.
