Mag 7 was a western version of a samurai film from Japan. I also remember A fistful of dollars being another one based on a Japanese samurai film. There also was a Mag 7 series in the late 1990s.

The Eurovision singing competition. Spice it up by making the competitors fight with each other afterwards...to the death. The winner then gets to sing their stupid song once and will be shot in front of a live audience the following night.

I think they are thinking of Blue Thunder.....with BT being a drone :P. Of two the series, Airwolf was the better one, and only for about the first one and a half seasons (if I remember correctly).

I expect any action tv show from the 80,s , 90s, that was popular to be remade as a film.
Maybe some video games ,eg mass effect or metal gear would make a good film.
With the cgi, computers we have now its alot easier to make sci fi films,
that look realistic .
Uncharted 4 a ps4 game already looks like a film.
We need a new buffy tv series .
