Just had the security services in here, looking like 14:00 is a good estimate based on what they are telling us. We are one of the closest properties to the airport.

Full Emergency Declared due to Hydraulic Issues. All external roads surrounding runway closed until incident is over is normal procedure.

Aircraft landed safely and was escorted into stand upon landing.

It was a major hydraulic leak, my pics were used on avherald story

FINALLY found it using the android app - in filters, type SOL into Aircraft Type and it comes up!
According to FR24 it ditched in the sea off St Johns !

It's still in the air, a lot further east than this time yesterday. It was out of coverage for a while due to being at a very low altitude, so it wasn't visible to the FR24 radar scanners.

While I was looking, on a slightly different thought, as I'm typing this, there are 13 aircraft in the air inbound to Dublin from the USA or Canada, and they're all scheduled services, there's no bizjet traffic or cargo flights in that number. That's some volume of traffic for a small island!

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

If you're gonna say island, you must also count Shannons 6x daily services and Belfast's EWR service.

Indeed, but since the latest "upgrade" of FR24, it's no longer possible to have multiple filters active on the free version. I did look for the SNN flights, but there was only one showing up,which has just increased to 2.

And just to add to the total, there's now 16 on the way to Dublin

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

Oh, seemingly JFK isn't running today and BOS is Omni so that's hidden. Fair point.

Philadelphia should be off soon to DUB and SNN too soon.

Anyone know why that TUI 767 is hopping from Belfast to Dublin? Earlier divert?

I see that the FR 1452 DUB - BRU that was reported this morning as having aborted the take off is now heading towards the Welsh coast. Still in good time for the many Irish fans to connect to Lille in good time for tonight luckily.

Belfast arrival was a returning football charter.

Interesting that there was also a Germania 737 on the NI football charter runs, must have made for an interesting atmosphere after the NI vs Germany match!

Talk of 15 minute delay initially, although departures were launching at the normal rate.
Then cancelled and people brought to LAPMO.
Now they're giving EATs 30 minutes away... Don't know what happened.

EDIT: RESCUE1 Doing a runway sweep so I presume it was a mandatory inspection because of something that happened. No aborted takeoffs and no word of anything unusual on the RT. REACH500 departing, something to do with it?

He is departing for knock airport. Due in the next 15min or so.

Strange thing was, it only seemed to be widebody aircraft taking off, that may just have been by coincidence though.

Also didn't hear SAM609 on frequency.

REACH500 Departing, and they need to get a runway sweep before Biden can depart, so RESCUE vehicles doing that and thereafter resuming normal ops.

Biden decided to leave the 757 at DUB & took off with his entourage in the C17 about 20 mins ago heading for Knock. Apparently wanted to give his grandkids a ride in a Military plane. Nice perk
