Yesterday I had the distinction of being in trains in 2 different country's in the same day Manchester to Liverpool , flew home then train from Dublin to Waterford

    Good times

I have some great distinctions in my life but unfortunately they are no match for your achievement.

Carol Vorderman once replied to me on Twitter. She even used my name and added an 'x' at the end.

if it had been a vowel I would have been impressed

How did they find out you did it?

I wrote it up in a publication. Terrible thing was; I have these guys who've been trying their heads off, half their lives. Doctors, with government funding. They couldn't manage it. I remember one other bloke had. And he was taking it to the grave. Nasty bastard.

I Think someone else might have done it? It was a while ago and memories fade. But, yeah; I still have the letters. Poor sods were asking me how I did it. And all I could tell them was; As I said in my published article! I'm quite sure I'd mentioned every facet. Looking back though? It does trouble me:

Did I point out that I bought them out of a tank of still water and transferred them home to a tank with an internal filter producing quite an aerated and moving water situation? Because that set them off.

I must have done. I was careful to explain Everything. I then had the story published in a magazine. But, that was a much less dry version. I had some fun there! " I said I'd breed these now. The harridan behind the counter didn't think so. " :D That was Tracy. Bless her! I showed her what I'd wrote too :pac:

I once killed a fly with a knife.

It was buzzing under a glass counter and I just timed it right and stabbed the mawfúcka straight up.

    Cold blooded, me.

My husband told me he once killed a wasp from across the classroom using an elastic band to fire paper at it.

He was a student, not a teacher btw :o

I've saved an old ladies life, but I think his is more impressive

Had a pretty decent cross country and track career that I regret not pursuing into adulthood. Never had the drive will or discipline needed, was more interested in drinking once I went to college and was finished with the team within a year.

A terrible loss for this country.

I did a twitter tweet today and it was quoted in a popular Irish sailing magazine's online edition.
