    Not sure if situation is yet under control as only one shooter is dead and reports of more than one shooter.

    I don't know about Ireland. But here in the US it's quite common for Facebook alerts about pages you're subscribed to to pop up. I've been out with friends and they get a push notification from the bar we're in about a new beer just put on tap or some promo for the next 30 mins. So people could of had something pop up on their phone about a shooting happening.

    Are people suprised by this? You have a presidential candidate preaching nothing but hatred for minorities and leading the republican nomination ... america is so desensitised to this ****e you'll get the "if only the people in the club had been armes" bull coming out soon

    Social media is heavily monitored by some security and emergency services.

    Sometimes, for small scale, isolated incidents such as this, social media is the one that alerts these assets before a phonecall.

    It's more important than you comprehend but im not looking for an argument or debate on the matter as there is none.

    Im right and thats all there is to it.

    The Columbine massacre happened during a Clinton presidency.

    Utterly horrendous video. I'm not sure when it was sent out, but if it happened before the shooter was confirmed dead, then they would now know that someone was hiding in the toilets. Just by watching the news.

    Police giving very little away keep suspending press conference would have me to believe that still shooter on the loose or they believe this much anyway.

    Mother of one victim commented on CNN there that her sons girlfriend said two people came into club and started shooting.
