Install FFE, then unzip all the extra stuff into the game Dir. if you edit the config file you can change the resolution (ive checked it up to 1600x1200)
its the 1.06 version so all major bugs are fixed.

Important bits
Music works \o/
Graphics are a direct transfer from rasterizers to GL, so they look the same as they did before maybe a little better, so dont be expecting super-duper upgrade.
The game is hard, i got killed several times doing the sohahlia Medicine run after winning the wiccan ware race. make sure you save often!

Battle Tanks 2

I love this game, amazingly enough its only about 20MB and it will run off a USB key. If you like it there are a couple of extra tanks and a few extra maps out there which are easy enough to add in.

(I would advise turning off the arcade style aim, setting reinforcements to low and periodic and switching to the in turret view as soon as you get started, but theyre just my own personal preferences)

I stumbled on some gems last week:

• Cave Story is a platformer/adventure. I haven't played too far in it yet but it's an enjoyable little game so far. It reminds me of games like the early Final Fantasies or Tales of Phantasia but with added jumping It's a Japanese game with an English translation so be sure to install the patch if you download it. Unless you can read Japanese text of course.
  
• Block Attack is a sliding block puzzle game. It has a lot of different game modes including 2 player, timed, endless. It also has a puzzle mode where you must clear the screen in a set number of moves.
  
• The game style of Secret Maryo Chronicles can probably be guessed from the name If you are/were a fan of the original you might enjoy this one. Again it's a platformer (surprise surprise). My only slight gripe is that the jumping isn't as easy to do as with Cave Story.

I found this game called Bloodmasters recently. It’s a multiplayer shoot ‘em up in the mould of Quake etc except it’s viewed from the top-down instead of first-person. It takes a bit of getting used to but it is a lot of to have a blast with. The system requirements are modest enough. The download is here. It’s 48Mb.

Don't know if Warrock's free any more. I played the beta for about a year in it's various form, and there's a lot of gameplay issues that still hadn't been fixed by the time it went commercial about 2 months ago. think it got about 60% in PC Gamer, which was fair enough. Haven't tried it since, so don't know if the beta client works with the new release.

My friend is a huge fan of warrock,it is still free but you can buy a premium version with extra maps.

I discovered this free PC First Person Shooter game recently titled WarRock and it's quite good, if you like Counter Strike/DoD, Quake3 UrbanTerror, Soldier of Fortune 2, Battlefield. then I'm sure you'll like this. The quality is quite good, there are 4 gameplay modes, FFA, Bomb planting/defusal, Team deathmatch with flag capture points and finally Battlefield 32 player style maps with vehicles. Minimum PC requirements are P3 800(or AMD), 512ram, 32mb video card, Windows ME / 2000 / XP. I'm pleasantly surprised at how addictive and fun this game is and I consider myself an FPS veteran since Quake 1. Almost forgot, for so much game content it's surprising it's only a 600mb file. I highly recommend you check it out, you won't have wasted your time.

disclaimer: now just like many online PC games there are cheaters(eventhough it runs PunkBuster) so don't get frustrated and quit cus you'll always find plenty of servers with proper gamers.
