The motoring section isn't about what you drive

    It's about Motoring Enthusiasm :)

You do notice a certain trend in the motoring forum on here though (I wouldn't really be mad into different types of cars or how they operate, etc. but I've noticed a certain fondness for certain types of cars over the past while).

Random photo (in keeping with the thread - I know my choice of car isn't remotely popular on boards :P )

Landed today. I like. Bit of sorting needed, so I'll be busy for a bit. The whole "no heater" bit is dull. R33 Skyline, 2.0, '97 and I think, pretty damn pretty!

I'm looking into a gtr transplant as step 1, have a donor lined up! Body-wise, it's mint. Engine is sweet, but the ancillaries/suspension are all in ned of tlc. It'll get it too! Why have such a sweet car and let the shocks degrade and linkages go to hell? Mystery to me tbh.

May not want to hear it but then again it could be a good thing... You're better off going for an RB25, they're far more reliable (26's suffer from bad fuel starvation and oil problems), they can make crazy amounts of power with basic enough mods too not to mention, they're cheaper to buy initially. :)

If you want to be really JDM you put an SR20DET in it, lighter and cheaper again. It's the Chevy Small Block of Japan. :p
    The LS1 being a 2JZ.

Gotta go coilovers and GT-R brakes though!

Where have you it for sale?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,880 ✭✭✭Kaiser D

Gumtree, adverts. Will put it on Donedeal over the weekend.

Not expecting a lot of interest this time of year tbh, but if it sells, it sells.

Of course its my damn car, it has been for months.
I've uploaded many photos of it in the past.
I don't know why the url tags were from ebay, I don't have the car advertised there.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,615 ✭✭✭ba_barabus

I've found the car on adverts.

Maybe a simple PM from the different adverts account would clear things up.

Maybe if Kaiser D changed one picture to a pot of Birds Custard.

    There's nothing like CUSTARD PROOF.

I don't know about yours, pickle man, but my Astra ain't so faithful. I think it needs a new

The good thing about the astras is there was thousands of them sold here so spare parts are a doddle to pick up. In five years mine only ever needed a new injector after a mis diagnosed coilpack. I changed the tail and injectors with a set I picked up for 40 euro to be safe.

If it'll clear my name, have a look at the ad on adverts in a few minutes so
