Tesco Credit Card is OK you get 3 points for every €2 spent in Tesco (also Tesco petrol) and 1 point for every €2 every where else: http://www.tesco.ie/finance/visacards/benefits_clubcards.html It does mount up, plus you can get better value for your vouchers now with Clubcard Deals: http://www.tesco.ie/clubcarddeals/default.htm?osadcampaign=LB6

Halifax probably has the best reward offer at the moment. They add €100 to your account after your first purchase :D : http://www.halifax.ie/index.jsp?p=100&n=104

What do the rest of you think?

Pigsback seem to have no respect for their members. Do you think the choice of date was a co-incidence. :-)

Maybe if we band together and threaten to walk out together they might back down. As far as I know our contract is with MBNA - not Pigsback - and the MBNA terms and conditions we signed up to say 1 point per euro.

I'd recommend all card holders make a point of phoning MBNA (1800409510, or 071-965-6262 and reverse the charges), complain politely and at length, and ask them to withdraw this change of service. If they refuse, ask for a manager to call you back. If he refuses, say you'll be closing your account at the next suitable opportunity. Pigsback may be happy to drive members away - but MBNA know where their bread is buttered.

Yes. MBNA know nothing of it and said to ignore the email. But don't take my word for it - ring MBNA yourself.

    Just received

    "Dear ,

Thanks very much for your response to the letter we recently sent detailing changes to the Pigsback.com/ MBNA credit card. The intention of our letter was to let you know of two very significant updates, the first being the change in the number of PiggyPoints credited and the second being the new exclusive offers.

We are sorry that you obviously do not welcome the changes, in particular the move in the number of PiggyPoints credited to 1 PiggyPoint for every €2 spent

Having reviewed the card we were forced to alter the rewards level to safeguard the future of the card. We cannot go back on this decision and hope you can appreciate that it was not taken lightly and that we were in a very difficult position.

Despite the changes, our card rewards and privileges are still probably the most generous in the market and we obviously hope you stick with it.

In order to bolster the rewards offered, we have managed to secure some great and more importantly, exclusive offers. We are starting you off with

    10% off at Wagamama
    10% off at TGI Friday's

We are committed to securing you access to more great discounts throughout the year. In addition we will be introducing a monthly competition worth 10,000 PiggyPoints.

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for taking the time to contact us with your feedback. All such comments are welcomed and enable us to improve the Pigsback.com service you have been so supportive of, over the last number of years.

As a gesture of appreciation for your feedback on this subject we will be crediting your PiggyBank with 200 PiggyPoints.

    Yours sincerely,

    Vanessa Johnston
    Marketing & Partnership Director"

    I received the same reply!

I have to agree that Pigsback really aint worth the hassle anymore, if I'm lucky I might get an Xtravision voucher every other month :(

When i complained about the lack of piggy points I got a snotty reply saying that ye get so many points for signing up, you get points for purchasing things through pigsback, you get points for signing up to offers through pigsback. As if everyone shops online, I signed up in November last year so them sign up points are well gone and as for signing up to offers through pigsback pfft they're few and far between. I think the only way you're really going to get any points is by shopping through pigsback or using that credit card they've now cut points on. Waste of time now, anyone actually won anything yet btw??? Even 1000 piggy points??

We are writing to inform you of some important changes to the terms and benefits of the Pigsback.com reward scheme. These changes will come into effect from the 1st April 2009.

As you know Pigsback.com cardholders benefit from the Pigsback.com reward scheme. We have conducted a review of card benefits and we have decided that we should alter the reward scheme and improve the range of benefits that you can avail of.

From this date, not only will you continue to earn PiggyPoints every time you make a purchase with your Pigsback.com Credit Card, but you will also have the chance to win an additional 10,000 PiggyPoints every month and all you have to do to be automatically entered into this draw is make a purchase during that month. Please see the terms and conditions set out below.

We will also be introducing some exclusive reward items which will only be available to cardholders along with early booking of exclusive events prior to release to the wider Pigsback.com audience.

In order to put all of the above elements in place and to offer you a better service, as of the 1st April 2009, you will earn 1 PiggyPoint for every €2 spent on your Pigsback.com Credit Card. This will also be reflected in your credit card statements.

We would like to thank you for your continued loyalty to Pigsback.com and we hope that you will continue to enjoy all the benefits of membership. If you have any questions or any other queries then please contact our member services team by email at memberservices@pigsback.com and we will be happy to assist.
