My and my friend r thinking of forking out for a 1720. We're in Dun Laoghaire and I'm wondering what I should be looking for. I reckon we've about €15,000 so I guess it's second hand market for us.
What about racing 1720s in Dublin?

We'd love to sell you a Backman 21 (see www.powerboat.ie) but we only have new ones !!

Try the Irish Sailing Association www.sailing.ie for info on where to find 1720s and a link to the 1720 class association

    Kind regards,

    Stuart

1720's seem to be making a bit of a comeback these days they have their own one design start in Howths Autumn League after an absence of a few years. The new club rig seems to be behind the resurgenance in the class. Tjere should be a load of them for sale secondhand in the UK.
