the next epsiode is called "deus ex machina" eh? deus ex machina, as in a resolution of a situation/story owing nothing to its logical foundation....ie a cop out. im hoping its just a bit of ironic wit on the part of the writers, otherwise we should all be very worried

Seriosly people - he's not his boss.
He owns a SHARE in a box company. Even if he owned all the shares, that still wouldn't make him Locke's boss.
And even if he was some kind of absentee boss, Locke would hardly have a problem with any one but the people who were actually there supervising him.

"Deus ex machina" also literally means "God from the machine", which may also be a hint to something that happens. having only seen up to ep 20, I can't say for sure though.

    From dictionary.com:

    deus ex ma·chi·na
    1. In Greek and Roman drama, a god lowered by stage machinery to resolve a plot or extricate the protagonist from a difficult situation.
    2. An unexpected, artificial, or improbable character, device, or event introduced suddenly in a work of fiction or drama to resolve a situation or untangle a plot.
    3. A person or event that provides a sudden and unexpected solution to a difficulty.
