Nice bike Sutty, hope you have better luck with this one than the last one!
I see in another thread that you replaced the stock pipes with Highway hawk "Fat pipes".
I'd love to do this myself as well - where did you get this done - did it make much difference to the sound?
Also, how much did it cost (if you don't mind divulging this)...

I got the pipes orderd through Megabikes on camdon (spell) street. I cant remember off the top of my head how much they cost. I think it was in the 230/260 regin. Then a few squids in to install. They come with baffils (spell) so you dont have to worrie about them destorying the engin. As for the sound. Well one of the lads in "Flush Bus" (I used to work next door to them) said it sounded like hell on earth. (and thats from a racer boy :D)
In tight areas like small streets and driving at low speeds close to objects on the right hand side. You get a nice but loud crisp ROAR. Here is a 1 min vid with sound to give you an idea. (It's 3.9megs and crapy angle and colour was to dark so I manuly highered it. Just a smaple.) You can her the bike at low gear high RPM in it and at low gear low RPM and taking off.

Oh and there is lots of noise from air hitting the Mic, sorry about that

Sounds great, I'll definately have to get some myself as soon as I can afford it...
Cheers for the movie file, it's really made my mind up...

Edit: No it isn't, sheesh... I must be gone daft. There be a scottoiler and a mean set of engine bars and... *runs out to the shed*

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,549 ✭✭✭✭Krusty_Clown

I've had it now for 6k kms (since May)... Absolutely loving it..
My wife and elder child love it too... Finally a perch they feel comfortable on. :D

I reckon I've finally found the bike I can keep for more than two years without getting itchy wrists.. Having said that, might change it in a year and a half for a 1200GS Adventure.. The God of Pokah helped pay for it too!

Nice repsol job there jiffy, are ya gonna finish it off with some stickers and lose the pegs? stick some spiffy tyga ones on maybe? Any pics of the 750?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,510 ✭✭✭batman_oh

    jiffy
is that your real rvf750 and not the pic u stole off a site in japan and claimed it was yours in this thread?
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=271930&page=2&pp=20
in which u lied your arse off constantly
    and i quote u
'you can go from 0 -160kph and back to 0 again in 5 point something seconds'
one of the most retarded things ive ever heard when the quickest production bike ever is the new gsxr1000 which does this in 10 seconds
i find it strange that u post a pic of an rvf400 if u own an rvf750, and u make no mention of it on your own site either, just the 2 400s, and have no pics of it, just of the 400s. even on bikepics account(i checked coz i found this hilarious)
    youre funny
show me your race kitted rvf, and not a pic u steal off another site of some1 elses(and the pic was of a non kitted one which was even better!)
and at the end of the day, even if u do have one, all the things u claim it does are bull**** anyway, so its irrelevant
    but entertain me

Eh... batman... You mean the thread started by a troll that we were all having a laugh in?

Thanks for posting the link to that thread again. It's so damned funny. hee hee hee.

This is mine. The only mod thus far is to lower it.

Fazer 600. (?) Nice. It was something I considered when going for the Bandit.

Yamaha FZ6 2005. Thought about the SV650s but as a female, the fit of the bike doesn't quite go with our form.

As Saobh already said, that thread was a wind up started by someone else who was trolling about bikes. Myself and some others decided to have a little fun.

Anyone who know's anything about bikes knows that an 11 year old '45 isn't upto modern day bike performance these days. So I didn't expect any bike heads to take it seriously only for what it was mean't, some fun to wind up a troll.

Interesting that even the moped owners had some insightful and helpful contributions to performance related motorcycle questions in that thread before the self-professed 'wind up merchants' from your site had it locked. How mature and very clever indeed, well done for an ingeniously coordinated bombardment, however, can you please keep this scintillating witticism within the confines of your own site in future. thanks.

It was nothing to do with my site. Most of the respondees were no aqquaintance to me at all and iirc correctly you were the one that started the trolls.

Since you have f'all authority to tell me (and others) what we can and can't do I suggest you STFU !

Thanks GLine - She was my P & J -- used to keep her in the kitchen.. fully polished the frame, wheels, swingarm, barends .. pretty much anything that could be polished got the treatment over the winter months!!
Had a 600 RR for a year after this but somehow really liked that FS model.. comfy yet sporty ..etc.

CBR 250 (all models) - Group 5 insurance (Irish) -- Possibly Group 10 with Carole Nash though

    cheers
    Russ
