    so are we to believe that Jin can speak english?
    when hurley got stung by the urchin, he was getting Jin to pee on him (for the laugh, you know?) but Jin kept saying no.
    Also Hurley was saying something about wanting a fish for eating the food he was given from Jin, and then he received the fish!

    or did i completely miss the point of that section?

    I think Hurley trying to undo Jin's pants so he could pee on him got through,as did Hurley trying to fish,but failing very badly :)
