Weirdest Dream You've Ever Had?

Well , lets here them people.
Mine happened about 2/3 weeks ago. The dream went buy that I was doing something in a boat and crashed it or something. But when I crashed , I woke up , or at the time , it felt like it anyways , it was so realistic. The back of my head felt weird so I put my hand up to the back of it and found a gap. I put my fingers into the gap and supposidly touched my brain. I got a hugely painful stabbing, tingling feeling in the back of my head. Then I woke up properly and the weird feeling / pain was still there in the back of my head. It was really freaky and I definately didn't bang my head.

Happened a looong time ago. I was around 6 and i had just seen for the first time a tractor with a large grass cutter on the back. It had blades spinning at tremendous speed.

Anyway that night i had a dream that i was waking up in the middle of the field across the road. I was tied up and my sister(4 years my senior who was very mean to me at the time) driving a huge tractor with this huge grass cutter + giant blades driving towards me. And then i woke up sweating and fighting for breath

Terrible scary when your young and prob very scary even now

But a question, why is it that your imagination never lets you see the last couple a seconds where the worst actually happens?

Also do many people still get dreams and nightmares? I know i havent since i was young

I still get alot , could be link with how akward it is for me to get to sleep.
You can actually take a certain level of controll over your dreams. Usually when you discover your dreaming you wake up but you can sometimes remain in it. Its really class. Yeah , and farm machinery was involved in alot of my nightmares too.

Weirdest dream was recently enough was sort of about Pope Benedict, not that sort of dream, it was related to star wars and I recall it sort of being like the Da Vinci Code too.

To be honest that's the only dream I can actually think of clearly. I'm sure I've had odder ones.

I had a couple of lucid dreams, you know the ones which you can actually control. Normally involve flying around a lot, superman style. One of them involved a book where I could control what was on the pages. Before I'd turn the page I say to myself I want a picture of, for example, the tower of london. Sure enough when I'd turn the page there it would be, sometimes being sketched by an invisible pen as I watch.

As a matter of interest do any of you actually remember your dreams? I can only think of one or two that are very hazy. Only time I remember dreaming at all is when I manage to rack up about 12 hours asleep, which doesnt happen very often these days.

I do have one dream where I'm at the top of a mountain overlooking the sea, perfect reflection of the moonlight and then...nothing. It's odd because absolutely nothing occurs in the dream.

I dream a lot, its my favourite pastime..usually have vivid dreams too. There was the Jesus one which was cool....very cool.

Hey Grim, i always get like 11-13hours sleep and still no dreams Cuoldnt imagine only gettin 8hours sleep and then going for a whole day the next day :eek: But so many ppl do it

Sure I've to be up at a quarter to eight to get my good self into work tomorrow. I haven't even contemplated going to bed yet. 8 hours sleep? Ha! I'm lucky to get 7, mostly I'll get six and a half.

about 6 months ago i head a MAD dream. me and some friends were at 'a festival' or something, it was like a big square of grass with shops and stalls all around it.
i looked up and saw a plane coming in towards us, but as it got closer, it was a model plane, like the model aer lingus planes you see.
imedeatly after that crashed down beside us, a paper plane came sailing down the same way the model plane did.
i opened up the paper, and it was sorta like some clue, from the freemasons i instantly presumed.
one after another these model planes crashed down in the festival square, all instantly followed by a paper plane with a clue on it!
other people started to notice them, and started running around, fighting eachother to get the pieces of paper.
the paper airplane chasing had led me to what i can only describe as the entrance to the grassy area.
i picked up another paper plane from the ground, i looked back on the area.
BIGGER model planes started coming down, and exploding. i felt one explode near me, and felt ringing in my ears.


.....all of a sudden, i was walking down my road with the same friends(!) i looked up to my left, and saw
....flying thru the air....
a big test tube thing, made out of stained glass and a flip top. it was about 30cm long, but seemed huge in the air.
it veered down and crashed into the ground beside us, sticking into it. i walked over to the crazy test tube thingy and kicked the flip top open.
a big 'hiss' noise came out of it, like gas, poisonous i presumed. i looked at my friends and ran.


then i woke up :eek:

i just had to share that with you people as it is the wierdest and most memorable dream i ever had

This is actually pretty weird because I was actually talking to my mates today about the dream I had last night which had to be the weirdest dream of my life...

I was on a flying boat with all these monkeys with unicorn horns coming out of their foreheads they were taking me back to their homeland of Africa so I could live with them when all of a sudden the boat started falling out of the sky it was really freaky and as I was about to hit the ground when all of a sudden I woke up.

Had one last night where I was dead and my junior infants teacher (who was in a horse-drawn carriage) told me she had viewed my body at several different churches it had visited!

I remember most of my dreams. I had one as well the last night that felt like someone was jumping up and down on my ribcage and man it hurt. The thing is though that I don't know if I experienced the pain or just imagined it :eek:

I wonder sometimes do I say things out loud that are in my dreams? I share a room with my brother which could be awkward.
One time I was kinda falling asleep and I dreamt I threw a tennis ball and did the throwing motion with my arm. Lifted my self clean of the bed and I fell back down again and brought myself round.

I had a weird dream a few weeks back. I'll try and explain it:

I find myself in this strange town and I decide to go into this person's house which is open and as I open the door of one of the rooms, I see this man on the ground who is dying. I approach to help him not knowing what is wrong until I noticed the sunlight shining on his face and I realise the sunlight is what is killing him! Suddenly, I hear the sound of some little girl, presumably his daughter, about to come in so I lock the door and try to keep it closed so she can't see the dying man on the floor. She yells at me wanting to get in and it being a dream and all, she somehow manages to break through despite the fact I was doing my best to prevent her. As she rushes directly into the light, she vanishes! At this, I get scared and rush out of the house to find all the people from the town trying to get me. They can't come into the sunlight however as it harms them so I decide to stay away from the shadows and keep out in the open. The only thing I remember after that is me telling some girl that we need to stay out in the open and we drive down this open stretch of road, like you would see in Arizona or something. Then I remember something like an aeroplane or a helicopter chasing us!

I remember it was really late when I went to bed that night and sunlight was coming through my window before I fell asleep so I'm guessing that's the story behind that bizarre dream...

OK, I was on a train with my aunt and my cousins going through this really creepy frozen wasteland (though oddly not cold), and the train broke down right outside an abandoned amusement park. So everyone else got off, but I was scared in case the train started up again; eventually they talked me down, and of course as soon as I stepped off the train started moving again and they all made it back on without me (except for my aunt, who got crushed under the train). So I go to look around the amusement park, and this weird evil snowman with very pointy carrots for fingers starts chasing me and trying to kill me, and even thought I'm trying to run I can't and it's keeping up with me, and I reach a corner with two slides. And somehow I know that one of the slides will get me to safety and the other one will kill me, but I can hear the snowman coming so there's no time to see where they go and I jump into one of them, and as I'm sliding down I can see the snowman waiting for me at the bottom with his pointy carrots of death. That's when I woke up - like someone said upthread, your subconscious always gets you the hell out of there before the really bad stuff happens.

Woah last night I had one hell of a strange series of dreams no doubt because I read this thread Some highlights...

.. my dream was an episode of Friends that took a 'bizarre' twist, All the cast members were joking as normal, then suddenly it was just Joey and Rachel. Rachel was trying to find an Irish sitcom about 6 friiends living together and Joey joked "why do that when you can just call us guys" (haha my subconsious made a joke... i didn't laugh). Anyway Rachel found a drawer in the apartment that she has never seen before and noticed it opened when she clapped her hands. Joey though it would be a good idea for them to climb in and then clap their hands and come flying out. Cue musical sequence with Rachel and Joey climbing into the drawer and flying out again and again with different funny consequences each time e.g Rachel flying into the arms of a evil Arabic king who just appeared out of nowhere (he had a midget sidekick) who subsequently started to join in the drawer fun. Then the whole sequence ended with a scene containing football action from Croke Park with the Irish Anthem blaring in the background, except everything was made of rice!

There was more but I think that's quite enough for now...

Yep I have ones like that as well, just goes to show you how stressful that period of time can be. But then I just wake up and go, thank f*** that was 8 years ago

All my dreams are pretty weird lately;

Last night for example, I was climbing a mountain. About half way up I ran into Elton John, which I thought was a bit strange although I kept walking on anyway. Then I heard him running behing me and I looked around to see him throwing a full can of petrol all over me.

I tried to run away but he set me on fire, I rolled on the groung to put it out - but it was pointless, I just got tired and burnt then.

And then I died - (and woke up)

I had a pretty fuc-ked up dream last night ...

I was traveling in a car with some friends ( some for here in dublin , some from over in the UK) and the car breaks down near on of my m8's houses in the UK, so we head there to find a party in full swing , so we join in having fun and all that, as the party winds down myself , 2 m8's and someone i work with are sitting in the living room relaxing when some girl ( sort of looked familar) comes in with a friend ( a girl i had a crush on when i was 14) and they both have shotguns .. the procdeed to kill all around me , i got to watch brains and what not being splattered everywhere even on me :eek: , thanks to my clever timing i managed to get out to the kitchen while they where reloading and they chased me. now the girl that looked familar i managed to get on her own , i ended up choking her to death ( very strange feeling indeed) the 2nd girl i chased for ages till she found more ammo and then i was back down where we had broken down .. even the car was there , but all my friends bodies where inside... the girl came charging at me and tried to shoot me , i ducked behind the car , i remember calling out "can we just be friends (she did say that to me when she turned down my advances) but next thing i know the car blows up and i'm flying towards a wall .. i wake up as im about 2 inches from the wall .... freaked me out ...

I used to lucid dream all the time , had great fun ... try asking the people in your dream why they are here , and what do they have to do with the dream ... i did this , but i stopped after some faceless guy told me "don't ask me i'm just part of your subconsius :eek: :eek:

Myself and the GF both had the same dream one night about 3 years ago.. it was about a plane crash it was so vivid we could both remember the Flight number the next day. The next evening a plane with that number crashed... we were freaked for weeks about it!

For the life of me i cant remember the filght number now...

And the usual stuff.. you know that your half awake feeling where a shadow is leaning above your bed.. love the shivvers it gives ya when ya finally come around ;p..

I've had far too many weird dreams to list here, and I usually remember them all for a period of time, probably due to me always being in a state of restlessness from around 7am until I actually wake up.

One of the most memorable was one in which I died - hasn't been repeated thankfully as it was not paticuarly pleasant. I was running through an old grain mill, very similar to something I would've run through as a kid, and I fell into one of the grain pits. On the way down I landed on a couple of beams that were going across the pit. I could hear bones breaking as I hit and rolled off only to land on another. Things started going blindingly white, and I slowly woke up in my room, lying on my back (the same way I finished at the bottom of the pit and I never sleep on my back!) and it seemed to take a good few seconds before the whiteness blended back into normality, when I found that I was alive and well

Very strange. Another one I remember is waking up laughing out loud, which has happened a few times.

i just remembered, i used to have a recuring dream that i sent on a mission and had my dna changed so that i was a Alien ( like in the the movies) and that we went on missions , prob the strangest thing about the dream was that the aliens used to love listening to the band Pulp ..... .Common people my ass ;P

but the dream always ended up the same way , we get attacked by my old Commando Troop , kill them , and then i wake up

Edit : in that dream i didn't do any of the killing ... .and i was watching froma distance

Dunno about weirdest, but the best dream i ever had was when i was dreaming i was in a chicks body. first things first, put on a hot bikini, took a shower, and played with my rack. I had a great rack..

I regularly have weird dreams, the 2 weirdest I've ever had involved dinosaurs chasing me, Jurassic Park is one of my favourite films and I used to watch it at least once a week. So that might explain it.

In one of them I was walkin home one night and just as I was gettin to my house I saw a white Raptor at the end of my road and I froze and it just stared at me, then I just legged it towards my house and the Raptor ran for me and we raced to the door. Luckily I got there first and when I got in and slammed the door behind me I woke up in a cold sweat and I was very freaked out!!

The other one involved a shape shifting dino.

Very strange dreams indeed.

I would have to say all of my dreams are quite weird. Its not a good sign lol but i die in almost all of my dreams.

Had a dream that the world ended. A meteor struck and I was in a bar in crete and myself and my friends saw it go down. Then saw the shockwave coming. I hid behind a small thick wall and waited for it. Then I could feel my back being ripped off and I woke up screaming my head off.

I was actually in Crete at the time and the guys in the appartment I was staying in weren't too impressed!

But the weirdest I have had was one where I was in a cave shooting aliens. I had a grenade launcher on my gun and was saving it for the big alien at the end. Anyway, shot through loads of aliens no hassle and got to the big alien at the end. This is where it started to go really pear-shaped...

I tried my grenade launcher to find it shot bubbles. Just bubbles. I was so annoyed that I shouted "Stop, stop, hang on, my guns not working." Everything stopped and I went off set to make my way to the dream complaints office! (?) I queued up and when I got my turn I gave out stink about how dangerous it was to mess up a grenade launcher when I'm surronded by aliens and all it shoots is bubbles. The girl behind wasn't phased and just gave me a new one.

So I went back on set, appologised to the aliens and resumed blowing their heads off with my fully functional gun.

Next morning at breakfast I remembered it and was in tears laughing for ages.

Mmmm, I dunno, I spose my wierdest would be either of my war dreams.. Us (the human race) vs the land sharks, or us (My family) vs the flying witchs. I survived the shark one tho, so I guess the witchs were weirder.

Altho I did once dream I had telekinetic powers, and when I woke up I was convinced I still had them for like 5 minutes. Could'nt get that pencil on my bed stand to move tho.. What a bummer.

And, actually, I just thought of another REALLY messed up one.

I dreamed I went through a full Tuesday. I was in school at the time and It was a monday night I had the dream. It was just a very normal day. Nothing odd. Anyway I woke up thinking it was Wednesday, obviously, cause I had gone to bed in my dream and all. So it was still Tuesday and I thought it was Wednesday.

It wasn't till I went into school and realised I had mondays homework done and none of tuesdays that I asked around to see if any of my mates had any I could copy. But they kept giving me mondays homework. And I was like ... yea but where is tuesdays? And they answered that it was tuesday. And I was stunned for about 10 mins till I realised I must have dreamed the whole of tuesday. So I had to go through tuesday again.

Bloody messed up feeling.

Before i got my Exam results, i was Dreaming of Diffrent ways of getting my results, each with a 9% as the mark.


the strangest one has to be the "Tissue Paper" one.

I drempt i went in to collect my exam results and i was handed a Piece of Tissue Paper and on it was "FAIL" = 9%
