Here's another lil' shop full of floor filler classics. Click the link below... Now listen very, very carefully. When you click the link you 'MAY' be told by a little 'pop-up' that the site is not available... Dont mind what the box tells you, just click 'OK'. You will be brought to the standard 'Page Not Available' crap. All you need to do then is 'Click Once' in the address bar at the top of the page... (the bit with the http:// site address) - And press 'ENTER' on your keyboard... That's it - Your in, Simple. I'm not sure if it's a glitch on the site, or weather its a security issue on my end, but a few other users have the same problem also.

    Step 1 - Click Here - http://www.rhythmfmdublin.com/
Step 2 - Click the green 'RHYTHM FORUM' link (top right)
Step 3 - Do the usual 'sign-up' stuff. (dont worry it's 100% free)
Step 4 - Go to the MP3 section in the DJ BOX.

Fair usage applies ;) Pick some up and drop a couple while your there.
Tip : I recomend using mediafire, the best by a long shot in every way.

    A big-up to the lads @ Rhythm FM 94.1 it's a blower - ReBuzzDeFuzz & Keep Rockin'.

Good Aul' Jay Carey... He was once a member of NR:Gex (he played percussion at some of our live sets) - Here's some photos.

    NR:Gex - http://uk.geocities.com/rebuzzdefuzz/photos/photo1.htm
    NR:Gex - http://uk.geocities.com/rebuzzdefuzz/photos/photo2.htm
    NR:Gex - http://uk.geocities.com/rebuzzdefuzz/photos/photo3.htm

    Olympic Ballroom - http://uk.geocities.com/rebuzzdefuzz/photos/photo4.htm

I found some negatives of the Olympic Ballroom (backstage) with a 'Semi Automatic' Water Pistol in full view... ;) - I'll get them developed when I get a minute. (ps) - I think Jay called that tape 'IGNOrance' - dunno' them two tracks either, sorry bud.

CUD B,I U/L IGNORANCE 2 HERE A WHILE AGO BUT IGNORANCE 2 IS MORE HARDER DA WAY I LIK IT

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 275 ✭✭Gen:FX

Ignorance - I remember Jay gave me a first Gen copy,..... with the artwork (cover sleeve) but the cracker gave 'EVERY' copy away that he had done - including his master, (the gobbo) - he asked me for a copy of what he had givin' me .... to be as clean and as clear as possible (sound wise), I gave him back the Copy he gave me, (the original 1st Gen),.... I never got it back, say no more. . . . I'll get hold of Jay to clear this track list up... bare with me ppl.

Blue Horizon - I remember em' - what are the lads doing now? Are they still makin' tunes - get back to me. I remember the rain ok.... but it was just a summer shower, it did'nt piss down, t'was that hazie rainbow summertime thing. - I have some photos of ASLAN at that gig also.. It was the the first time the lads got back together after Christy left the 'Goff'.

    10/4 Gud-Bud, Over & Out - later lads.

Yo, wadup Gen:FX nice talking to ya last night. Your text was a pleasant surprise. Good job on your signature and links to old flyers. Brings back some good memories for sure. And the photos of the Bottom and Janelle (South band Show) are deadly. Never seen the Janelle ones, GAS :p

Ok Re that tape that was posted (thanks whoever you are :D ) It was actually called 'Trance Seduction' not sure when I did that, think it was in 93 or something and can only remember the names of a few of the tracks. Unfortunately the 1st and 2nd on side B escape me for now but I'll get some other ears to listen and who knows maybe we can come up with something.

The ‘Ignorance I’ and ‘II’ tapes came after that one. Somebody said that they posted these? Can you send me the links please? Twud save me doing them

I still have most of my masters including ‘Trance Seduction’ but I've only managed to Digitize ‘Better Days’. Just all club classics really. It was the last one I did before I chucked it in. Will find a free way to upload ‘Better Days’ for those who would be interested.

Other tapes in the collection include:

    ‘Bliss’
    ‘Rotations’
    ‘Mind Control’

There is another one, but again the name of it escapes me, will have a good old root through them and dig them out and dust them off. Don’t get much time to convert music to MP3 these days but once I do I’ll post them up and get as many track names as I can.

    Bless one and all
    J

Yo Evoblade and Dub1, thanks so much, really appreciate it. I have some other tapes I did around the time that don't have names, some tracks will overlap onto others but there are tracks on some of them that are not on others. If only I had copies of the many other tapes I just did for peeps way back when that are just one off-ers, ah well. :D Do you have the tapes you mentioned converted to MP3????

Here's some links that some of you guys might like to bookmark:

Click on Ishkur's Guide to Electronic Music, its top class, gives you a great insight into the development of electronic music from the 70's on. Check out some of the sub genres, the names are gas. If you only get just the intro check it out again another time, it might be that its being updated. There is plenty other stuff to get through anyway. Njoy.

Better Days side B for those who want it...

Warren K did this tape for me oh about 700 million years ago when Hardcore Breakbeat ruled the earth. I've still yet to hear a better breakbeat tape, sounds as fresh as the day I got it. If anyone knows the names of any of these tracks please post them up. Unfortunately Warren only put this type of stuff on one side of the tape. The other side is just mediocre (by his standard) stuff...

I know only the following :(

    Goldie - Termiator
    Goldie - Kemistry
