I heard the water before bed works but ffs people who here remembers to do that when they are pissed.

Also brandy and port will sort your your stomach(but is basically a variation of the cure)

I do. If you've had a really really really bad hangover you quickly learn no matter how pissed you are.

Yeah me too. But I think that's because when I become dehydrated, I know it and if I wake up in the middle of the night I'm nearly dying with the thirst, and need a drink.
Also, on non-drinking nights, because of my broken nose, I have to breath through my mouth when I'm sleeping, and it causes my mouth to dry up.
Hence, I never forget to have water beside the bed.
I drink about 3L of water per day too.

I didn't heed my own advice and woke up this morning hungover. A lie in followed by a breakfast roll and a glass of oj, seems to have done the trick.

Isn't it a bad idea to take paracetemol before going to bed? I heard that it puts your already busy liver under more pressure and that it's harmful in the long term.

Remember kids, Lots of water with some food not long before you go to bed. Porridge & tea the next morning.

Best Method i've ever tried.

very true shame though i often forget when i stagger in locked to do that but it certainly does help when you do it,you dont feel half as bad in the morning

Powder stuff called "resolve" they sell behind the counters in all good centra's work wonders and settle stomach as well as getting rid of headache.
if all else fails water defore bed, water next morning followed by lucozade sport and if headache still there some form of painkiller, never fails to work
else just sleep. i worked in a music shop, after xmas party went to work next morning, found a large keyboard soft case and used it as a sleeping bag in work.

You and your brother are either in your early 20's (or younger) or don't drink enough!

Hangovers get to be a right bastard when you get older - slowing metabolism / liver damage etc..

Prevention is better than cure. Drink nothing but decent vodka, skyy is pretty pure stuff. Many liquers are good too since they strip out every last bit of the other alcohols out during distillation, many vodkas acutally add back hangover inducing alcohols at the end for taste, but most liquers want only the flavour of the fruit/herb/spice.

My girlfriend gave me Feminax last Saturday morning when I had the mother of all hangovers. It's actually for period pains. Mightnt suit everyone but worked on me.

Pint of Alka-setzer before bed and then another the next morning is good, but here's my favourite:

Wake up feeling death. Suffer until 2pm when El-Paso restaurant in Howth opens.

Order anything you like from the menu but make sure you order a cup of "Hot Pat" sauce with it.

El Paso used to categorise their hot sauces like this:
3=mild
5=hot
7=very hot
10=extremely hot

There used to be a regular there called Pat who had special instructions for the chef to triple the consistency of the number 10 sauce.

Douse your food with the sauce, eat and hallucinate.
Your endorphins will go nuts, you'll sweat out the poisins and float out of there.

A specialist cure but the best one I know!
