AFAIK production of the 504 stopped in 2005 in Nigeria (and Kenya the year before).

The 504 is still being advertised on the peugeot nigeria website as being handbuilt, alongside all the present Peugeot range.
The 405 is being built in Iran

I was out walking the dog this evening and took a different route (well truth is the little sh1te ran off on me) and noticed that there is an Irish reg'd oval bug at the end of my estate. I'll get down and get a pic before the week is out. Thing is the local scum are covering the car in graffiti

I don't know anything about it. I'm only staying in my folks house while they are away to look after the dog. I haven't walked down that particular street in at least 3 years. Doesn't look in good shape at all and would probably even be more suited to the 'adandoned classics' thread

This red car is a Corolla ke70 LIFTBACK .
Probably around an '82 model with the mirrors like that .

Same as the blue car posted above .I know someone said it about the reverse lights being different to the red car . But the blue car is from a dutch Toyota meet if i remember rightly ,so thats why it is different . Most of the Corolla ranges down through the years have different lamp styles depending on location .ie. uk/irl ,australian ,jap etc.etc and whether they are levin ,trueno or sprinter model .

The lamp in the red picture above is that of a uk/irl KE70 liftback .
Also the main thing that sets it apart is the rubber/ glass at the bottom of the rear window . The way it kicks up at an angle at each corner . On the rear screen of a KE70 SR coupe the bottom rubber is straight across .
So to me it is definately a Corolla KE70 LIFTBACK .

Here a picture below .It was the best i could find .Also note i had to flip it ,thats why the badges and petrol flap etc are all backwards

    zzke70-LIFTBACK.jpg

they had there mirrors on the front wings, i learned my trade on one

The council will probably take it away soon if it's getting wrecked.

Hopefully someone will save it. I'm looking for a cheap runabout but I doubt that's it. I want a plug and play VW.

    Only too well :D

I hope you're going to bring the red one to Milford Hospice 31st. I'm trying to get as many VeeDub heads to come to Limerick for this one. It's a great cause and we need to out number the Ford guys who came in big numbers last year ;)

Niiice sierra!!its one of very the last old style westmeath regs,no 337 from the end,869GLI was the last one...

I feel old now that 1990 renault 5s are being posted as classics/rare cars!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,461 ✭✭✭Max_Damage

I think the '87 to '91 pre-Euroband style reg. plates really make the car look more 'original'. I've been looking for a set for my Micra with little success.

That Sierra looks the part alright. Not too many of them around anymore unfortunately.
