Didn't see any of my ex's (various estates, Camaros, 6.6 T/A,Suburban, Shelby Mustang,Mustang lll, etc...) in the photos - wonder where they are now.

I'm sure if you submitted makes/models , colours , partial registrations ,someone will very probably have some information on
where some of those cars went ?

Still slightly confused about that red '69 Shelby GT 350 convert........:)

The owner of this ' 72 coupe in a barn c. ' 89 apparently had a Shelby matching that description which he had sold to UK a few years previously (20+ years ago)

I still have photos, but my computer scanning skills are 0 !
It was a 69 GT350, red, I sold it to a chap in Essex who flew over with a case of UK£20's - like counting a bl**din ransom.
Suppose i shoulda kept it, but I lived near Darndale at the time and my garage wasn't too secure !!

Name rings a bell alright, he was behind big electric gates in St Margarets and had the Shelby in a barn along with a 'plain' Mustang.

Possibly the "plain" Mustang was the '72 in the pic

Sold my Shelby YEARS ago through Custom Car magazine, chap flew over from UK with UKP5k cash (20's:eek:) in suitcase. Drove him to the ferry in it and sayonara (worth x20 that money now:( ).

Yep, yiz are right on the money - Mick D***an behind big electric gates in St Margarets -

Picked 686CIK up on a showery summers day and cruised home

Tidied it up a bit, grille and 'folding' glass window on soft top - still have the 'Cobra' off the grille ( maybe thats worth E's on ebay ????? ;) ) and have photos of it outside the house. Suspension on the rear was 'air adjustable' via a garage air line. twin exhausts came out thru no. plate hole in bumper and no. plate moved between T/Bird sequential tail lites.

Checked chassis no in 'Hot Rod' mag before I bought it :)

Unless he bought another one after I bought 686CIK c. mid 80's - mind you, I worked with another D***an who was a total liar !!!

'Dongfeng' is a chinese mongrel brand by the looks of it
    http://www.carnewschina.com/2012/05/04/history-the-dongfanghong-cars-from-china/

    Spot the lookalikes -
    1) Passat but with narrow track and Audi 100 front
    2) Polski Fiat but with Passat l front end
    3) Skoda Fabia with passat front

Think I saw that burgundy TR6 near Enniskerry today. Plenty of classics out and about today and there was a big motorbike gathering at the Powerscourt waterfall

And that CX is wonderful and incredibly elegant. Hard to think they've been around for about 4 decades

That is possible as they met at Silver Tassie headed Enniskerry, Rathnew, Avoca, over the gap etc.

Yes like these CX's my mother had one a gold estate CX 2.4 3 rows of seats in it. Whenever I drove it my mates would say "Jack and his Hearse" The steering and brakes were unreal!!

    The "Familiale" :)

The French knew back in the 50s (or even before?) that you didn't need a bus (MPV) to carry more than a few people in a car. You just needed a stationwagon with 3 benches

    DS Familiale:

Even earlier it was. Here's a Traction Avant Familiale from the 30s!

Pics of ? MCM..? . Just back off a trip so if it's the Shelby / LTD etc I'll have to scan the old photos etc and put them into Flikr or somesuch as I can't upload here directly for some reason. Bit busy at the mo unpacking etc and getting ready for NCT Wed so I WILL post them sooooooooooon

Plates maketh the car IMO, the maroon TR6 could do with a nice set to finish it off. Used to go to great lengths to make my own plates back in the day - will post some photos when 'the vault' is unleashed !!!

Saw an Italian spec Escort Mk1 in WW yesterday - White front indicators, wing repeaters, didn't see if had square rear plate to complete it - nice

A BX was the first car I ever drove! In a field on a farm I was working on at 16 in Borrisokane!
