Are Irish Women ugly?

I know that this thread will get many an angry response especially from women but I honestly think that the huge majority of Irish women are unattractive especially compared to the likes of the Italians, Spanish(Latino in general), Japanese etc. etc.

Am I alone on this issue?

I agree with Bringitdown, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, now I would prefer Japanese or latino chicks to the Irish ones, but that does not mean I find the Irish women unattractive, I just have prefrences. I mean the Irish women would be more easy-going than most other women, fact!

It seems to me that people find the 'exotic' to be more attractive. By that I mean that people find foreigners attractive because they are simply not so used to seeing them as they are used to seeing 'everyday Irish women'. Likewise, plenty of foreign people find Irish women to be very beautiful because of the traits they posess which may be uncommon in their own country - fair skin for example.

Then again, it could be because you're from Kildare

Yeh but you have to be honest we have a bit too many bowlers in Ireland, the ratio of ugly women to stunners is to high in Ireland...we should start killing a few off at birth to even the ratio...just to even come in par with our europen counterparts...

I think that it is average the world over. Here in Ireland you jsut meet women on a more regular casual basis where they do not go to any special length to do themselves up. When you are away in a foreign country you generally only contact is touristy areas /pubs/niteclubs so the women there are out for the night and dolled up. I'd say that the same is true for men from other countries.

^ I think thats the answer really. I once knew a spanish guy who couldn't believe how gorgeous irish girls were compared to spanish girls, whereas we all thought the exact opposite!

I don't think the "Its the same all over the world on average" thing is true. Some races / ethnic groups do (IMO) seem to have a higher proportion of stunners. But Ireland's birds certainly aren't the ugliest in the world. To be honest I never really got the whole Japanese / Asian thing, they really dont do anything for me. Maybe because I find their personalities so irritating.

I think that Eastern Europeans (Czech, Poland, etc) are the absolute top of the league. Good god the women over there.......

i'd safely say there is roughly the same amount of fine females in ireland as there is fine men.. in fact, when your out look around and see, there seems to be an awful lot of good looking women with average looking men.. is this because there is limited fine men, or because women are as much into what the man can think, do, say than just how they look..

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder true, and every country has its fair share of unattractive females, but in relation to the entire population of each respective country, I think Ireland does indeed fare worse.

There are a lot more good looking Irish chicks than Irish blokes that's for sure. Next time you're out check out the number of short, fat, grey haired, ham-fisted barney rubbles (the typical Irish male over the age of 30) there are with Sharon ni Bheolains around the toon. Maybe Irish ladies just age better than Irish blokes? Actually, who cares?

There is serious balance issue in ugly to good looking. But its not that they couldn't be beautiful it has to do with what I've said before (I know i'm going to get burned for this one) "that most Irish women think that the best way to sit down and watch soaps all day is an olympic sport".

France is severely overrated, there are not near as many crackers walking down the average street in Paris as there are on Grafton Street. Whoever came up with this myth about French birds was talkin out of their hole
As for Spain, a majority of Spanish birds ive encountered are small, tubby and have a crap sense of fashion
Germans.....alot of them are too well built for my liking
Personally, it takes a VERY attractive Chinese/Japanese bird to get my interest. For some reason, even though they are basically the same facial makeup, I fancy Thai/Vietnamese ones alot more, they are a bit darker or something. God, if id been in Nam in 69 ida been singlehandedly keepin them brothels afloat

I don't think you can say Irish women are ugly. Granted, a large proportion of them don't seem to have a clue how to dress or wear make up that emphasises their looks, but the same goes in every country. I'm lucky enough to have lived in France and Spain so I think the same goes everywhere.

You have to remember guys that most latinas (for example) you see are in magazines, on telly (ie. models and actresses) or during the summer when you're on hols and they are on the beach in a bikini with a tan. But you do not see many of the ordinary Juanita Soaps, who are fat and hairy. Or during the winter when they are pasty white with the most woeful dress sense ever (stick to the bikinis girls!).

Same also goes for the guys. They might look good running around on the beach in the summer, but put some clothes on them in the winter and they look like skinny, badly dressed (mostly slimy pervy) geeks.

Exactly. Purely on looks, Irish women are not the best. Some of them tend to redeem themselves with their personalities and humour.

As with the male community of Ireland, a lot more exercise, a better diet and less alcohol would work wonders for their looks.

Don't think you can make a judgement about the attactiveness or otherwise of the Irish compared to other countries, until you've actually lived in the other country you think all the fine things come from...

You can't make a sweeping statement like Japanese/French/whatever women are more beautiful if you've never spent time in the country to see what the average Joesephine looks like walkin to work or shopping etc...

Expect maybe, for Amazonia... They are all beautiful and wear fur bikinis, though i hear they are hostile to men... oh well

You would rarely see a plain girl.

Two problems though...
1. they wouldn't touch a foreigner, let alone a pasty white irishman.

i got an email around the time of the nice treaty and on it was 2 ladys one was petra from croatia which was an absalute stunner the other was bernadette from roscommon which in simple words eats grass in a field and in big words at the bottom was WHO WOULD U CHOOSE class still makes me laugh when i think about it

I'm French, have lived in Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Paris for a short while and in the UK for 10 years, travelled all over Europe, States & Carribbean on hols over last 20 years and still south of 35, sooo... you lot clean the sh*t from your obviously-mk0.5'd eyeballs and get realizing sometime soon that Dublin has the highest ratio of hot-totty-per-square-foot this side of the Miss World contest, all types (blondes/brunettes/reds) considered...

But then again, you'd have to peel yoursleves from the Forum & go out sometimes to do that

I tend to find foreign women hotter, I think its an evolutionary thing, we're encouraged to 'diversify' our gene pool by mating with those who are genetically different, (or so goes my theory, plus foreign accents, RARR!)

Irish women suffer from drinking too much.
They have lovely figures up to the age of 24 then the effects of too much drink begin to emerge.
They generally get bloated and get tank ass.
Its the same for the men though,its just a sad facet of Irish culture.
Once people get married thats the end of em ,they lose all self discipline and they get really fat.

Personally, I love Irish women. I've yet to meet a foreign woman with the same sense of humour as the typical Irish girl (well, maybe the scottish, but I've a thing for them). This is one of the many reasons I cringe every time I see some of the new breed of wannabe yanks running amok in this country (though to be honest, usually you hear them first).

Looks wise it depends what you go for. Remember, most of the women you see from different countries are on telly, in movies, in magazines etc. I'm sure that the vast majority of Irish women making appearances in these are absolute knockouts too.

One thing I will say is that Irish women definitely seem to have it too easy where us blokes are concerned. We've let them get used to having us do all the work/make all the moves thanks to the traditional 'nice catholic girls' being perceived badly if they did. Time to shrug off the chains of the past ladies, us blokes absolutely LOVE a woman who isn't prepared to make the first move.
