I wouldn't spend too much time thinking about it, they've been running out in all the stores, at this stage you'd be lucky to get one.

I'm keeping two of them because it works out nearly as cheap as buying a spare battery pack and replacement power supply. Besides, it makes a great spare DVD player for the house hooked up to a TV. I think these prices are in Aussie Dollars:

I would be a bit concerned about finding a spare battery for this player in a couple of years time. That link is the only one I could find and they're in Australia. I reckon though that inside that battery pack there'll be standard rechargeable batteries in it. I went to open it to find out but there appears to be screws under the 4 pads which I don't want to rip off cause I can't really glue them back on afterwards. But if anyone else decides to have a look, let us know what's inside! Also if anyone finds a decent carry case to suite them, let us know.

It seems to play all the major file types (except avi) and through folders etc.

Just after seeing now, it appears to be also known as the Apex PD650 which is all over Google.

Would anyone be so kind as to pick one of these up for me? I'm living in Galway and according to their website the nearest location is Dublin. Please?

I would, of course, transfer the cash ASAP (before you buy).

The going price is now Euro 149 apparently, for a 6.5" mobile player. You can pick them up at this price in Spectra among other outlets. I'm thinking SQ Waterford is wishful thinking!
