    Hi all,

Do you have a current list of photo competitions as I clicked on some of the links below and they have expired. Google isn't much help for competitions in Eire.

    Appreciate the help!

    Wow.

Not much going on then since October then.

Is it any wonder that people move to London? :( Bloody hell!

Well it's in the one I have from Saturday april 18th and it has the last winner and says the next months competition.

As far as I know it doesn't have to be taken during the month.
here is the site address in the ad for the competition
but they don't seem to have updated it...
anyway the closing date is 5.00pm on monday 4th may and the photo has to be less than 3mb.

I came across it accidentally on the second last page of the IT supplement some time back.

The subject was Christmas. Anyway I rooted through my shoe boxes of 6x4s and found a snowy pic which I scanned and entered with.

Lo and behold I won 1000e first prize!! Dec. 2007 i think.:)

    Found this yesterday;

To celebrate 2010 as International Year of Biodiversity, the Heritage Council is inviting you to take part in the National Heritage Week Wild Child Photo Competition. To enter all you need to do is submit an image(s) that you think captures the spirit/idea of biodiversity and provide a brief caption with your pic explaining your thinking behind it. Photos should be of habitats / wildlife and include people (in some way shape or form). Most of all we want images that convey the co-existence of species and/or the variety of life on earth (biodiversity).

There are lots of prizes up for grabs for all age groups but we think the best prize of all will be the enjoyment and experience of getting up close and personal with wildlife and nature. Whether it’s in your back garden or further afield, it’s up to you.

The deadline for entry is Friday 10th September

Eanna Ní Lamhna (RTE Mooney Show Contributor and Wildlife Expert) will lead the judging the panel.

Winners will be announced on the 20th of September.

To enter the competition and for info on prizes go to www.pix.ie/go/heritageweek

    Hi everyone,

Just posting a link to a photo competition being run by EIL Ireland, a non-profit organisation which provides intercultural learning opportunities through study abroad, volunteer abroad, language training, travel awards, group educational programmes, and other cultural immersion activities.

    http://www.eilireland.org/development-education/photo-competition

The winner of the competition will take part in a professional workshop with photographer Edmund Ross (including work shadowing and portrait photo) while also getting their winning photograph published in the Irish Times.

Best of luck with your entries!
