Hard to say but 2pac changes is one of my favourites dont know if its the best thats a very personal opinion.

As for all the dre xzibit bull, dre is a producer and his albums are only ever to start up his labels, chronic to start up death row and 2001 to kick off aftermath. The fact that he gets ghost written makes no difference as his albums generally are not about him but more about that upcomming artists he is trying to showcase. Xzibit is a good rapper and anyone claiming that his first album was his only good one obviously never even listened to that album or any of his other ones cause his first one aint that hot compared to all his work after that. I wouldnt agree that multiply is the best rap song but so what gives me no right to slag someone off who does.

Maby you lot could stop being snobs about rap and try to take other peoples opinions as just that an opinion and not slag them off about spelling or their alleged age like being old or liking a rapper who dosnt sell allot records makes you a better rap fan.

exactly, there can never be a definitive best song ever, the songs thafitz and burago posted are all quality songs and might be someones favourite song but none of which will be declared the "best" song ever, at the end of the day its down to personal taste.

    That's a quality track alright.

As ubu says it's all down to personal taste, as my favourite songs change with mood, it's too hard to pin down anything as my definitive favourite song.

At the moment the tracks that are doing it for me

Aim - Aint Got Time To Waste
    Roots Manuva - The Falling
Masta Ace - Take A Walk (this may just be my favourite)
Viktor Vaughn (MF Doom) - Saliva
Mr Lif - Live from the Plantation
    Brother Ali - Forest Whitiker

What the new Roots Manuva record like?

MF Doom is one part of Madvillain, right? All this hip-hop name changing gets confusing.

    That's a great selection.
"You lack the minerals & vitamins..."

I've really tried to not post in here because the amount of 2 Pac tracks is shocking! The best track he ever did was Holler If Ya Hear Me. If the topic was "your favoourite track" then fair enough but "best you've ever heard"?! C'mon!!!

Two I'll never get bored of listening to are:
Mos Def - Travelling Man (Alright then it's DJ Honda Ft.)
    and
Jedi Mind Tricks - Blood In Blood Out. Great sample and Vinny Paz just makes bits of that track...love it to bits I do.

It's pretty good, wouldn't say it's as good as his first two though. Worth checking out anyway.

Yeah MF Doom and Madlib make up Madvillain, it's not really a name change this time for Doom just a new collaboration. He is one for the alter egos though.
