Few questions on a substitution , if i was to change one of my .22’s for a different .22 what way dose it work , would i have to hand my current .22 over to the shops wile i wait for the guarda to do the license? And dose it take as long to process? As I’m writing this I’m thinking it would be easier just to add a 2ed .22 to my list 😂

Ideally you should store it with the RFD while doing thensub, and some Gardai may insist on it. It's usually done anyways as you are generally trading.

It's Done via the FCA1, just using the sub options rather than a full application.

It's meant to be done in a timely manner of 14 days. Allowing for working days it's meant to be 3 weeks, but can take longer due to, stuff.

Here in Kilkenny I have to hand in the current licence with the substitution form. And wait on the new licence to collect the other firearm

should be quick enough but you will probably have to hand in the rifle to a dealer and license with the new form
