What would a typical hourly rate for a Quantity Surveyor be on a Pharma project in Ireland?

Simple question but it would be great to get a few opinons on this.

What would a typical hourly rate for a Quantity Surveyor be on a Pharma project in Ireland? QS in question is Chartered, has 15 years solid experience in Ireland and abroad and has a strong background. This would be working through a LTD company. So ultimately the QS would be director of his / her own LTD company and would be responsible for all that end of admin themselves such as taxes, holiday pay, pension, sick leave, transport / car etc.

Duties on project in question would be typical QS work on site, managing subbies, payments, dealing with change / variations, dealing with monthly accounts etc.

If the QS’s company, is sub consulting to a HC or similar. Then it entirely depends on the contract.
The hourly rate for variations would be much higher than for a multiple year project fee.

Thanks, what is a HC? It would be a rolling contract type arrangement, hourly paid so most likely 45 hours per week by rate plus VAT

HC is head contractor.
Being contracted for an hourly rate is mainly what you can negotiate. But it’s going to be roughly what’s they’d pay in house, plus costs, plus loading for leave, public holidays etc

Standard day rate for field service level engineer in Pharma. Project CQV rate is similar.

If you're talking about contracting in to the likes of Jacobs or PM on a Pharma project, a Senior QS would get approx. €60 - €80 + VAT per hour depending on experience

You badly misunderstood the question.
Day rates, salaries, and so on in Pharma are irrelevant.

OP didn't say he was in pharma. His question has nothing to do with Pharma salaries. I'm not sure which part of this you don't understand.
@muffler though you were trying to be funny, but turns out you simply didn't understand the OP.

In case you still don't get it. He asked how much a Quantity Surveyor would get. That's a construction role, not a pharma role (the forum name should have been a clue). The "Pharma project" is the specific construction project he asked about. Again, nothing to do with Pharma roles or salaries. Same way a Data centre project has nothing to do with IT Systems salaries.
